Abstract
PURPOSE:To form refractory layer of long service life easily, by loading stamped material into the inductor case, which is capable of being kept airtight, of an induction furnace, and by maintaining the case at a vacuum through evacuation of the case so as to aggregate and solidify the stamped material firmly. CONSTITUTION:An inductor case 1 is fitted with a lid 13 at its fitting flange 4, and at inner surface and a fixed sideplate 5 of the case 1 is set a plastic film 8 for keeping airtightness. Suitable amount of stamped material 3 is loaded into the case 1 and is rammed, it is then covered with a plastic film. The stamped material is evacuated through an exhaust pipe 6, so that it is aggregated and tightened. On the tightened stamped material, after removal of the covering film, a metallic shape 2 is arranged, stamped material 3 is placed additionally, which is covered once again with a film and evacuated so as to tighten the stamped material 3. The case is mounted on the furnace body. The metallic shape 2 is heated in order to dry and preheat the stamped material 3, then the metallic shape 2 is melted by heavy current. At the same time, the stamped material 3 is sintered by adding molten metal to form refractory material layer.
