Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid the unnecessary detected light and thus to highly efficient conversion for the optical signal into the electric signal by receiving the detected light via the light guide material and converting the light into the light featuring the wavelength range showing a comparatively high conversion efficiency to then leading it to the photoelectric conversion element.
CONSTITUTION: For light guide material 13 containing the organic phosphor scattered to the transparent carrier, opposing main surface 13a and 13b are formed into the mirror surfaces as much as possible with a flat or gently curved surface such as a belt form, and photoelectric conversion element 11 is provided edge surface 13c of one end in the longer direction. With irradiation of the detected light on surface 13a or 13b or on the both surfaces of guide material 13, the organic phosphor particle is excited to produce the light featuring a longer wavelength than incident light 14. This light repeats the full reflection on the optical interface between diffuser 13 and the outside air and then goes toward surface 13c to be finally led to element 11.
