Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high output power with a small area by porviding a solar cell on the end surface of a plastic plate containing fluorescent materials, collecting light that comes from outside by the plastic plate, converting wave length and irradiating the solar cell. CONSTITUTION:When a light strikes on a methacryl plate, the light is contained in the plte since the refractivity of the methacryl is 1.49 and, if the absorption by the plate is overlooked, 74% of the light that is produced by the fluorescent material is emitted from the end surface of the plate. If solar cells 32-35 are mounted on the end surface of the methacryl plate containing fluorescent material and is irradiated by light from above, electric current is induced and it is more effective if a reflection plate is placed at the back of the plate.
