CONSTITUTION:When a light strikes on a methacryl plate, the light is contained in the plte since the refractivity of the methacryl is 1.49 and, if the absorption by the plate is overlooked, 74% of the light that is produced by the fluorescent material is emitted from the end surface of the plate. If solar cells 32-35 are mounted on the end surface of the methacryl plate containing fluorescent material and is irradiated by light from above, electric current is induced and it is more effective if a reflection plate is placed at the back of the plate.
