Abstract
PURPOSE: To make beam diameters of radiation light and incident light smaller than that of a lens, by protruding one surface of the container of a luminous (photo detection) element from the base part of the lens part.
CONSTITUTION: In container 11a formed of transparent synthetic resin, a luminous (photo detection) element incorporated and lens part 11b is provided while the protruding surface faces of the outside of the container. On one surface of container 11a provided with lens part 11b, plane part 11e is formed protruding at least from the base part of lens part 11b. At this time, it is better to form plane part 11e more outside of the top of lens part 11b. Consequently, opening 20a provided into case 20 of an arrangement material can be fixed to a desirable small diameter regardless of the diameter of the lens part. Therefore, it is possible to make beam diameters of radiation light and incident light smaller than that of the lens easily. As a result, noises and malfunction of a photo detector, photo coupler, etc., can be eliminated which are caused by undesirable incident light.
