Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the fall in the output and running property of a engine due to the exhaust gas recycle when the engine is cold, by dispensing with the exhaust gas recycle when the engine remains cold after starting and by performing the exhaust gas recycle depending on the running condition of the engine when the engine temperature of the engine has exceeded a predetermined level.
CONSTITUTION: When the engine is started by closing a main switch 38, a timer 37 is closed to energize the solenoids of three-way solenoid valves 11, 17 to close valve ports connected to negative pressure outlet ports 15, 20. The negative pressure in an intake pipe 2 is strong because a throttle valve 14 is at a degree of opening for idling. This negative pressure is applied to a spark delaying negative pressure chamber R through an opening 22 of intake pipe, a pipe 21, the three- way soleniod valve 17 and a pipe 16 to delay the spark time of a distributor 7. When the timer 37 of an engine starting section is opened, the negative pressure outlet port 15 is connected to a spark advancing negative pressure chamber A and the negative pressure outlet port 20 is connected to the spark delaying negative pressure chamber R to control the spark time depending on the degree of opening of the throttle valve 14. When a water temperature switch 40 is closed in response to the rise in the temperature of cooling water, a valve 29a is shifted to perform the exhaust gas recycle.
