Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure and improve the combusitn efficiency of a liquid fuel burner with an ultrasonic vibrator, by atomizing the liquid fuel.
CONSTITUTION: When liquid fuel 4 is fed through a fuel pipe 9 and applied with ultrasonic wave by an ultrasonic vibrator 2, a liquid column 11 is formed at the center of the liquid surface in an atomizing tank 1, partly producing fuel mist 12. This mist 12 is mixed with air from a blower 13, whirls along the inner surface of the atomizing tank 1, passes through a porous combustion plate 15a and contacts with a combustion cylinder 15, being lifted together with air from a blast pipe 14, then the mist is ignited by an ignitor 18 and discharged as a flame 20 from the upper opening 19 of a combustion chamber 16. Since the liquid fuel 4 direclty contacts with the ultrasonic vibrator 2, the atomization can be controlled only by an ultrasonic oscillator 7.
