Abstract
PURPOSE: To easily restore the adsorbing function of activated charcoal and economically dispose of waste water, by using activated charcoal grains as a carrier of a fluidized bed and by removing and heating activated charcoal grains coated with a thickend microbe layer to regenerate the activated charcoal grains.
CONSTITUTION: An aerobic microbe for disposing of the waste water is coated on the activated charcoal grains (a). The waste water is supplied to the microbe so that a fluidized bed is formed. The disposal efficiency falls if the thickness of the thickness of the microbe layer on the activated charcoal (a) increases.The increase in the thickness is detected by a detector 7 such as a photoelectric tube relay to start a pump P to take out the charcoal. The taken-out charcoal (a') is removed of the microbe layer by a removing unit 8 and then buoyed up and separated by a sedimentation separator 9. The separated charcoal (a) is heated by heater 10 so that the adsorbing function for coloring matters and odor is restored. The restored charcoal is coated with a microbe again and then provided in a waste water passage.
