Abstract

CONSTITUTION: This steam turbine is arranged in such a manner that guide blades 3 with curvature inverse to the curvature of nozzles 2 are mounted to the upper stream sides of the nozzles 2, solid grains 1 in steam flowing among the guide blades 3 are provided with inertia force rectangular to the axial-flow direction and the grains 1 are collected in the back side direction of the nozzles 2 when the grains reach the inlets of the nozzles 2. The grains 1 collected to the back sides are accelerated with the expansion of steam, but most of the grains 1 can pass without colliding with the nozzles 2. Thus, the quantities of the solid grains 1 colliding with the outlet ends of the belly sides of the nozzles 2 at high speed can be reduced, the corrosion of the outlet ends 5 of the nozzles 2 can be prevented and the guide blades 3 can also be equipped with roles as ribs for reinforcement.
