Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable stable extracting operation by drawing an oxime cpd.-contg. extracting solvent the extracting power of which is lowered, followed by regeneration, return to the extracting process and reuse.
CONSTITUTION: In wet refining of nickel, etc. with a soln. of an oxime cpd. of formula I in a water insol. org. solvent such as kerosine, a fixed quantity of the extracting solvent the extracting power of which is lowered, is drawn and regenerated as follows: the drawn solvent is mixed with an aq. alkali soln. to be emulsified. Hydroxylamine or its salt is added to the emulsion, mixed, and condensed to regenerate the extracting solvent. An acid is then added to the soln. to neutralize the alkali, and the solvent is separated, returned to the extracting process, and reused.
