Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve incineration ratio by using a fluid bed furnace in two (upper and lower) stages or a swiring jet bed furnace and increasing the stay time of EP ash.
CONSTITUTION: As to the EP ash supplied to a swirling jet bed furnace 3A in lower stage, the evaporation of moisture, decomposition of ammonium sulfate, and the incineration of a portion of combustible part are performed here. The combustion gas in high temperature supplied from a swirling jet bed 5A in low stage passes through a free port 6A and is introduced to a swirling jet bed 5B in upper stage. The fluid medium which forms said swirling jet bed in upper stage forms jet movement due to the high speed gas stream which rises in a central exhaust gas passage, and at the same time forms swirling movement due to the swirling air in a swirling jet bed furnace 3B in upper stage. The uncombusted portion in combustion gas is incinerated in swirling jet movement composed of both movement. Thus incineration can be improved.
