Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the transmission of vibrations and to make a suction pipe ready to be shortened for preventing the overheating of refrigerant in a closed compressor of a low pressure type within casing with a suction pipe directly sealed up in a suction muffler by forming a part of the suction pipe with flexible materials.
CONSTITUTION: In a hermetical case 1 of a closed compressor, a compressor 2 and an electric motor 3 are provided in one body with a frame 4 to be elastically supported by coil springs 6. When a rotor 28 and a shaft 8 are rotated, a slide 10 fitted in an eccentric part 7 is slided in a crosshead 9, and a piston 16 is reciprocated in a cylinder 15 to such refrigerant from the hermetical case for compression. Since vibrations are given in this compressing operation, a part of a suction pipe 23 is formed out of flexible materials for preventing the transmission of vibrations. This construction also serves to shorten the suction pipe 23 reducing its heat-transmitting area, and to prevent the overheating of refrigernat by forming a heat-insulating part 22.
