Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a molding phenolic resin material with heat resistance without lowering working atmosphere, by adding powder of plaster of Paris in a specific amount instead of asbestos fibers to a molding novolak-type phenoric resin material.
CONSTITUTION: A molding phenolic resin material (preferably consisting of 20W50 wt.% of novolak, 20W50 wt.% of a filler, 3W0.5 wt.% of a release agent, and 4W 10 wt.% of a curing agent) is blended with 10W40 wt.% of powder of plaster of Paris having a particle diameter preferably not more than 150 μ.
EFFECT: A molded article having improved flexural and impact strength, and electrical insulating properties can be obtained.
