Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a molding resin composition having improved color and impact strength and giving an isotropic, non-warping molded article, by adding fine fiber of potassium titanate to a phlogopite-containing resin composition.
CONSTITUTION: A thermosetting resin is mixed with (A) preferably 10W70 wt.% of phlogopite powder having an aspect ratio of preferably ≥10 and particle size of ≤200 μ, and (B) 1W20 wt.% of fine fiber of potassium titanate having diameter of 0.05W20 μ, length of 3W30 μ and the ratio of the length to the diameter of preferably ≥1.0, using a conventional extruder, etc.. Addition of a silane coupling agent increases the physical properties of the molded articl.
