Abstract

PURPOSE: The title extinguishing device designed to suppress the abnormal pressure rise of the gas phase in the extinquishing banker and to secure the safe operation, by means of a damper, whose amount of opening is controlled according to the pressure value of the gaseous phase in the banker, in the excess gas exhaust line branched from a low-temperature gas line.
CONSTITUTION: A low-temperature gas is fed from the low-temperature gas line 8 provided with the gas circulating fan 7 rotating at a constant number of revolutions to the gas distributor 2 in the extinguishing banker 1, and passed through the red- hot coke layer 9 to the top gaseous phase 10. The dust is removed by the dust collector 12, and the gas is then passed through the heat exchager 13, dust collector 14 then returned to the low-temperature gas line 8. The excess gas exhaust line 15 is branched from the line 8, and the amount of opening of the damper 16 is automatically controlled according to the pressure value measured by the pressure regulator 19.
