Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of secondary environmental pollution by removing dust from exhaust gas at a state in which oil mist in the gas is gasified to prevent adhesion of the mist to the inside of a dust collector and to simply brush the collected dust without using water.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas from furnace 1 is fed to primary temp. regulation tower 2, dry dust collector 3, secondary temp. regulation tower 4 and mist collector 5 in succession to separately collect the dust and mist, and the exhaust gas is released 7 into the air with exhaust fan 6. The temp. inside tower 2 is controlled to above the gasification temp. of the mist, and that of the outlet part to below the allowable temp. of collector 3. collector 3 is controlled in the same temp. range as tower 2 to prevent reliquefaction of the mist. The temp. of tower 4 is controlled to the liquefaction temp. of the gasified mist by use of an indirect cooling system. In collector 5, the exhaust gas contg. the liquefied mist is passed through a packed bed of networks to separate the mist from the gas.
