Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the mist removing efficiency of an eliminator by a mechanism wherein a gas amount control apparatus is provided before the eliminator for removing the mist is provided to regulate the distribution of a gas amount.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas is introduced into a cooling tower 3 through an exhaust gas line 1 and the temperature of the exhaust gas is cooled to abount 150W 55°C by a circulated liquid of the cooling tower sprayed from a nozzle 2. Subsequently, the cooled gas is introduced into an eliminator 6 through a flue 4 to remove the mist in the exhaust gas and thereafter, sulfur oxides is absorbed and removed in an absorbing tower 7. The gas flow distribution is adjusted by a gas amount detector 10 and a gas amount controller 9 provided before the eliminator 6 so as to flow uniformly without forming a bias stream. Thereby, the gas stream at the inlet of the eliminator 6 is rendered uniformly and the bias stream is prevented, therefore the removing efficiency of the mist within the gas can be enhanced.
