Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the necessary magnetic force difference through the magnetization under the fixed condition by providing the volume difference to an opposing pair of circular magnets in order to obtain the different magnetic flux density under the fixed condition through variation of the magnetic characteristics between the two circular magnets. CONSTITUTION:Static convergence magnet assembly 5 is located at the circumference of neck tube 2a of in-line electronic gun type color CRT2 to control magnetically the electron beam running path. For such assembly 5, circular magnet 3 is constituted with use of a pair of circular magnet 6a and 6b with the same pole number, and then assembly 5 is formed by three unit of magnet 3. Among magnet 6a and 6b, the thickness of 6a at the side where the beam enters is increased to the propagation direction of the electron beam in order to increase the volume of 6a; while the volume of 6b is decreased by reducing the thickness of the magnet at the side where the electron beam goes out. Thus, the necessary magnetic force difference can be obtained through the magnetization under the fixed condition.
