Abstract

PURPOSE: To safely and surely stop a hydraulic machine, by driving an oil pump by the output of an electric generator in accordance with a detection signal of emergency stop condition to shut off a guide vane servomotor.
CONSTITUTION: When a contactor 4 is turned on according to an emergency stop signal, the oil pump 3 is driven by the output of the electric power generator 2 attached to a rotary shaft 1 to supply pressure oil to the shut-off cylinder of the guide vane servomotor through a check valve 8 and to a hydraulic change-over valve 9 to open it and drain oil from the open cylinder of the servomotor. Simultaneously, a hydraulic operating valve 10 is closed and the guide vane servomotor 5 is disconnected from an abnormal control system by a speed governor and a pressure oil source coupled thereto and is closed by oil discharged from the oil pump 3 driven by the turning force of the hydraulic machine 14. The oil discharged from the oil pump 3 is bypassed through an escape valve 11 until the servomotor 5 is entirely shut off and the rotational frequency of the hydraulic machine becomes zero.
