Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase extensively the capacity of time switch by refraining from a redundant use of memory and by not increasing the functioning speed.
CONSTITUTION: The circuit of time slot number α on incoming-highway 10 is connected to the circuit of time slot number β on outgoing-highway ml. An idle address in memory 21m is selected by the known central processing unit, etc. and address a is designated. If at this time m and a are stored in log2m bit and log2m/n bit, respectively, in address a of holding memory 110, the signal of time slot α on incoming-highway 10 is accumulated in address a of call memory 21m by the control of holding memory 110. On the other hand, when 1 and a are stored in log2m bit and log2m/n bit, respectively, in β address of holding memory lml, signal A stored in address a of call memory 21m is read out at time slot β of outgoing- highway ml. The connection in the reverse direction can be made in the same manner by using call memory 2ml.
