Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a reduction of the combustion noise, with a quantity of the fuel made burning little by little, by lowering the rate of injection at the time of idling operation to prolong the time of injection. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition of idle running, with a timing of up-down movement of a plunger 7 being at the slowest speed through a timer by up-down actuating a sleeve 18, in the stage before a cut-off port 17 reaches a face 19, that is, in the stage with a fuel oil being carried out into a conduction pipe 16, an idle port 22 and a control port 23 are facing to each other, and the fuel oil in a passage 13 is sucked flowing out into an air space 4. Accordingly, a pressure drop, caused in the fuel oil fed out to an injection nozzle through the conduction pipe 16, lowers down an injection rate, with an injection time prolonged for obtaining the same injection quantity, and the fuel is gradually injected into within the cylinder. Consequently, a quantity of the fuel is burned little by little in the cylinder, thus capable of reducing a level of the combustion noise.
