Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce starting voltage in a high pressure mercury lamp, a metal halide lamp, a high pressure sodium lamp and the like by means of an auxiliary discharge starting equipment provided for the auxiliary electrode while a ferrodielectric ceramic condenser is connected between the main electrodes.
