PURPOSE:To allow the internal stress of the resin to be hydrostatistically applied upon the chip and prolong the serivce life of the pellets of a resin seal type semiconductor device by providing a cushioning region between a resin enclosure and the surface of the semiconductor chip to be placed therein.
