Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.フィブリルによって相互に接続されたポリマー結節を有する高度に多孔質 の配向された延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)マトリックス、及びそ のポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスの中に捕獲された触媒粒子を含んで なる化学的反応性基材であって、その延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマト リックスが、その触媒粒子がその基材に接触する流体の流れと容易に反応するこ とを可能にするのに十分多孔質である化学的反応性基材。 2.触媒粒子が、二酸化マンガン(MnO2)、酸化銅、二酸化チタン、白金、パラ ジウム、及びアルミナからなる群より選択された請求項1に記載の化学的反応性 基材。 3.触媒粒子がオゾン分解触媒を含み、基材が、流体の流れからオゾンを除去 するために流体の流れの中で使用されるのに適する請求項1に記載の化学的反応 性基材。 4.オゾン分解触媒が、二酸化マンガン(MnO2)、酸化銅、二酸化チタン、白金 、パラジウム、及びアルミナからなる群より選択された請求項3に記載の化学的 反応性基材。 5.化学的反応性基材が、流体の流れの中に装着されるオゾンフィルターユニ ットに組み込まれ、その流体の流れが基材の外側表面と交差する請求項3に記載 の化学的反応性基材。 6.基材がコア材の少なくとも1つの面に結合され、流体の流れが、基材と交 差するクロス流れである請求項1に記載の化学的反応性基材。 7.基材とコア材がプリーツ加工されてフレーム内に装着され、フィルターユ ニットを形成し、そのフィルターユニットが流体導管内の装着に適する請求項6 に記載の化学的反応性基材。 8.基材とコア材が、波状の仕方でフレーム内に装着された請求項7に記載の 化学的反応性基材。 9.基材の材料が可撓性のある材料を含んでなり、基材とコア材が螺旋状に巻 かれ、その巻かれた基材とコア材がフレーム内に装着された請求項7に記載の化 学的反応性基材。 10.ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)の分散系を提供し、 触媒粒子を提供し、 そのポリテトラフルオロエチレン分散系とその触媒粒子を混合してスラリ ーを作成し、 そのスラリーを乾燥して粉末を作成し、 実質的に不燃性の潤滑剤でその粉末を潤滑してペーストを作成し、 そのペーストから所定形状のエレメントを作成し、 そのエレメントを加熱・延伸膨張し、フィブリルによって相互に接続され たポリマー結節を有する多孔質延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリック スにし、触媒粒子はそのマトリックスの中に捕獲され、 その延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスから基材を作成し 、 その基材を流体の流れに暴露し、そのポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリ ックスは、触媒粒子がその流体の成分と反応することを可能にするのに十分多孔 質である、 各工程を含む化学的反応性基材の製造方法。 11.二酸化マンガン(MnO2)、酸化銅、二酸化チタン、白金、パラジウム、及び アルミナからなる群より選択された触媒粒子を提供することをさらに含む請求項 10に記載の方法。 12.基材をコア材に接着し、その基材の表面と交差する流体の流 れが生じるようにその基材とコア材を装着することをさらに含む請求項10に記載 の方法。 13.プリーツ加工が可能なコア材を提供し、基材とそのコア材をプリーツ加工 することをさらに含む請求項12に記載の方法。 14.マトリックスがフィブリルによって相互に接続されたポリマー結節を有し 、少なくとも1つの露出面を有する延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE) マトリックスの多孔質基材、及び そのポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスの中に捕獲されたオゾン分 解触媒の粒子であって、そのマトリックスの中にしっかりと保持され、且つその 基材の露出面と開放的に流体が連通する粒子、 を含んでなる、オゾン発生装置に使用されるオゾン除去フィルターであっ て、 その基材はオゾン発生装置の中に装入されるべく適合化され、その基材の 露出面に交差してオゾン含有ガスを通過させ、オゾン分解触媒がそのガスと反応 してそれからオゾンを除去することを可能にする、オゾン除去フィルター。 15.オゾン含有ガスの流れの中に配置されるべく適合化されたフィルターユニ ット内に基材が装着され、 基材をオゾン含有ガスの流れと実質的に垂直に配置し、ガスが基材の露出 面と交差して通過するように、そのフィルターユニットがオゾン含有ガスの流れ の中に装着された、請求項14に記載のオゾン除去フィルター。 16.基材がフィルターユニット内に波状の仕方で装着された請求項15に記載の オゾン除去フィルター。 17.基材の螺旋状に巻かれた層の間に流体の流れを与えるように、基材がフィ ルターユニット内に螺旋状に巻かれて装着された請求 項15に記載のオゾン除去フィルター。 18.フィブリルによって相互に接続されたポリマー結節を有する高度に多孔質 の配向された延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックス、 延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスの中に捕獲された触媒 粒子、及び 導電性コア材であって、その高度に多孔質の配向された延伸膨張ポリテト ラフルオロエチレンマトリックスがそのコア材の少なくとも1つの面に結合され 、その延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスは、触媒粒子が基材に 接触する流体の流れと容易に反応することを可能にするのに十分多孔質であるコ ア材、 を含んでなる化学的反応性基材。 19.導電性コア材が、外部の電源と電気接続された請求項18に記載の化学的反 応性基材。 20.導電性コア材が電気的に接地された請求項18に記載の化学的反応性基材。 21.流体中の化合物を触媒分解する方法であって、 フィブリルによって相互に接続されたポリマー結節を有する高度に多孔質 の配向された延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスを提供し、 その延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスの中に触媒粒子を 捕獲し、 導電性コア材を提供し、 その延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスをその導電性コア 材に結合させ、 そのコア材を電源に電気接続し、 そのコア材に電流を印加し、そのコア材を所定の温度まで加 熱し、 流体の流れをその延伸膨張ポリテトラフルオロエチレンマトリックスに暴 露する、 各工程を含む方法。
