Abstract
ル加熱装置の出力状態を監視できる包装容器製造方法と
機械を提供すること。 【解決手段】 高周波誘導加熱による管状ウェブのシー
ル性はピーク電流値、平均電流値、通電時間、加熱出力
積算値(平均電流値の2乗×通電時間)、通電時間間隔
および電圧値が設定値通りのものでないと良好な状態に
保持できない。これらのウェブの加熱用エネルギーに関
する値のすべてについて上限値と下限値を設定し、該上
限値または下限値を外れると、警報が発せられるかまた
は、装置の作動を自動停止させる。また、上記加熱エネ
ルギーに関係する値の履歴は過去の所定の管状ウェブ封
止作動回数分記録保存するようにすると、不良品の発生
時点の管理、不良品の発生原因の究明に役立つ。こうし
て、前記加熱用エネルギーに関する値の設定値の範囲内
に納めることにより、ウェブのシールの確実性が保障で
きるようになり、最終の包装容器に不良品が発生するこ
とがなくなった。
Description
装置に関し、特に板状のウェブを管状のウェブに変形
し、該管状ウェブ内に流動性食品などの充填液を充填す
る包装容器の製造方法と装置に関する。
続的に巻き戻しながら移動させ、徐々に管状に成形し、
ウェブの長手方向に直交する方向の両端部がわずかに重
なる位置でウェブを連続的に接着し、その中へ流動性食
品などの充填液を充填し、充填液が満杯状態である包装
容器を連続的に形成するために、充填液面下において密
封してウェブ長手方向に直交する方向にシール(以下、
横シールということがある。)し、その後、該横シール
部の幅方向のほぼ中央部を切断するという一連の動作を
繰り返すことによって液充填包装容器を形成し、最終的
には平行6面体の容器を作製する。
する際には、ウェブの両側からウェブを押圧して横シー
ルするための一対の封止ジョーが2組設けられており、
各々一対の封止ジョーは下方に搬送中の管状ウェブを挟
持して下方に引っ張りながらウェブWと共に移動し、所
定距離下降した後に、前述のように横シール部分のほぼ
中央部を切断すると同時にウェブWの封止状態を開放し
て管状ウェブの下降への搬送力を解き、互いに離間する
方向に移動し、所定距離だけ上昇して再び管状ウェブの
横シールを行う動作を繰り返す。
レンフィルム層、接着剤層、アルミ箔層、紙層及びポリ
エチレンフィルム層を積層した多層構造体であり、この
管状ウェブの横シールは前記一対の封止ジョーを用いて
ポリエチレンフィルム層を加熱溶融して行う。
すようにヒートシールするための熱シールジョー7aと
熱シールジョー7aからの加圧力を受ける受圧ジョー7
b(熱シールジョー7aと受圧ジョー7bの組と熱シー
ルジョー7a’と受圧ジョー7b’の組があるが、ここ
では熱シールジョー7aと受圧ジョー7bの組について
説明する)からなり、熱シールジョー7aのウェブW表
面との当接部分にはインダクタ8が設けられ、受圧ジョ
ー7bのウェブWとの当接部分には受圧バー9と横シー
ル部の幅方向の中央を切断するカッター11が設けられ
ている。さらに、熱シールジョー7aと受圧ジョー7b
の両端にはそれぞれフック16aとフック16bが設け
られており、この熱シールジョー7aのフック16aと
受圧ジョー7bのフック16bを互いに係合させて、そ
の係合力をフック16aの液体圧シリンダ18の作動油
圧で調整することでインダクタ8と受圧バー9とに挟持
されたウェブWの横シール時の押圧力を制御する。
ョー7aと受圧ジョー7bがウェブWの両側を押圧する
際には熱シールジョー7aのインダクタ8によりウェブ
Wのアルミ箔にうず電流を流すことで、誘導加熱による
熱を発生させ、この熱でポリエチレンフィルム層を溶融
させてウェブWを横シールする。

手段から得られる電気エネルギーがもたらす加熱エネル
ギーの出力値は、充填される液質などによって適宜の値
に変更され、容器のシール状態を確認し、決定された出
力値により作動される。そして、多くの場合には、上記
〜のサイクルは最終製品である6面体形状の包装容
器1ケ当たり1秒以下の短い時間内に行われる。

プロセスが、毎回その動作が確実に行われているかどう
かをリアルタイムに検出することはできなかった。
横シールにおける加熱エネルギーに変換されるべく発生
している電力にかかわる出力値及び作動時間や作動タイ
ミングを各々監視することによって、過加熱や加熱不足
などによるシール不良の発生をリアルタイムに検出した
り、またメモリ内に保存した前記各種監視データから異
常発生原因を容易に究明し易くすることである。また、
本発明の課題はウェブの横シールが十分行われるように
シール加熱手段の出力状態を監視できる包装容器製造装
置を提供することである。

の加熱エネルギーに関係する値のモニタリングをする出
力監視手段と、所定の管状ウェブの密封シール作動回数
分だけ前記加熱エネルギーに関係する値を保存する記憶
手段とを設けた包装容器製造装置である。

限値を設定し、これらの値が設定値の範囲内にあるよう
に調整することが望ましい。また。前記上限値または下
限値を外れると、警報が発せられるかまたは、装置の作
動を自動停止させることが望ましい。
周波誘導加熱装置を用いる場合は、加熱時間は高周波発
振指令により決められた時間発振するように設定され、
また非加熱時間は決められた時間発振しないように設定
され、加熱出力はウェブWの材質、ウェブW内に充填さ
れる内容物の種類により予め設定される。また一対の封
止ジョーによるウェブWの折り込み動作に対応させてイ
ンダクタの発振を行うことによりウェブWの横シールを
行うので、加熱タイミングは一対の封止ジョーの折り込
み動作に対応させるように設定する必要がある。
電時間、加熱出力積算値(平均電流値の2乗×通電時
間)、通電時間間隔および電圧値をすべて設定値の範囲
内に納めることにより、ウェブWの横シールの確実性が
保障できるようになり、最終の包装容器に不良品が発生
することがなくなる。本発明は6面体形状の包装容器の
製造だけでなくゲーブルトップ形状の包装容器製造にも
適用できる。本発明は紙、プラスチック製品などのウェ
ブのシールに用いることができる。

ブWから内容物が内部に充填される包装容器を製造する
包装容器製造装置であり、図1に示すようにロール状に
巻き取られた板状ウェブWから管状ウェブWを成形し、
該管状ウェブWの両端を縦方向にシール(縦シール)し
て、その内部に内容物を充填して、管状ウェブWから容
器1ケ分に相当する長さに切断し、パック状の内容物が
充填された枕状容器Pとし、これを最終製品である6面
体の包装容器Cとするものである。

ェブWは、該ウェブWにテンションを常に掛けておくた
めのテンション付勢装置2を介してチューブ成形装置3
に送られ、ここで板状ウェブWは成形されながら管状ウ
ェブWに変形され、管状ウェブWのウェブW流れ方向の
重ね合わされた端部同士をシールし、その後図示しない
成形部材で管状ウェブWは角柱状ウェブWに変形され、
図示しないカッターで切断されて最終的には包装容器C
が1ケ分毎に切断される。
性食品などの充填液を充填するための充填パイプ5が設
けられている。また、チューブ成形装置3にはウェブW
の両側からウェブWを押圧して封止する(横シール)た
めの一対の封止ジョー7が2組設けられて(図1には1
組のみ示す。)、一対の封止ジョー7は下方に搬送中の
管状ウェブWを下方に引っ張りながらウェブWと共に移
動し、所定距離下降した後に、ウェブWの封止状態を開
放して、互いに離間する方向に移動し、所定距離だけ上
昇して再び管状ウェブWの封止を行う動作を繰り返す。

成するカム12と該カム12の上側にカム12の側面に
沿って上下動をするカムフォロアー14が連結部材15
を介して連結されている。

圧着されるウェブWの側面同士を一体化させてウェブW
を横シールする。

各組の一対の封止ジョー7、7’はウェブWをヒートシ
ールするための熱シールジョー7a、7'aと該熱シー
ルジョー7a、7'aからの加圧力を受ける受圧ジョー
7b、7'bからなり、熱シールジョー7a、7'aのウ
ェブW表面との当接部分にはインダクタ8、8’が設け
られ、また、受圧ジョー7b、7'bのウェブWとの当
接部分には受圧バー9、9’とカッタ10、10’がそ
れぞれ備えられている。そして各組の一対の封止ジョー
7、7’は、ウェブWの封止作業と同時に、下方に搬送
中のウェブWを下方に引っ張りながら移動し、この過程
で管状ウェブWは図示しない成形フラップにより角柱状
ウェブWに変形されるが、一対の封止ジョー7、7’が
所定距離下降したときに受圧ジョー7b、7'b内に設
けられたシリンダ10、10’で駆動するカッタ11、
11’がウェブWの横シール部のほぼ中央部を切断す
る。
グにより封止ジョー7、7’によるウェブWの封止状態
は開放され、枕状容器Pを切り離すと同時に、角柱状ウ
ェブWの下降への搬送力を解き、封止ジョー7、7’は
互いに離間する方向に移動し、所定距離だけ上昇して再
び管状ウェブWの封止を行う動作を繰り返す。
が、熱シールジョー7aと受圧ジョー7bの両端部には
それぞれ一対のフック16a、16bが設けられ、フッ
ク16aにはシリンダ18が接続されている。そして、
フック16aとフック16bを図3に示すように係合さ
せた後、シリンダ18の作動により熱シールジョー7a
と受圧ジョー7bを互いに引き寄せることで、インダク
タ8と受圧バー9間に挟持されるウェブWの横シール時
の押圧が十分なされるようにする。図示していないが一
対の封止ジョー7のウェブWの横シールとカッテングが
終了し、一対の封止ジョー7が互いに離間する時に、一
対のフック16a、16bの係合は解除される。
合により、熱シールジョー7aと受圧ジョー7bがウェ
ブWの両側を押圧する際には熱シールジョー7aのイン
ダクタ8によりウェブWのアルミ箔にうず電流を流すこ
とで、自己発熱させ、この熱でウェブWのポリエチレン
フィルム層を溶融させてウェブWを横シールする。
3に示す。チューブ成形装置3(図1)で板状ウェブW
が管状ウェブWに成形されるが、この管状ウェブWは前
記した図1に示すスプラインシャフト6に設けられた封
止ジョー7をウェブWの両側から折り込むための封止ジ
ョー駆動用の駆動装置(メインシャフト13など)が駆
動することでウェブWは横シールされる。この時、駆動
装置の駆動量(メインシャフト13の回転角度など)が
タイミング検出器(エンコーダ)20で検出され、該検
出角度がタイミング判定器(回転角度判定器)で所定の
回転角度であると判定されると、該回転角度判定信号は
シーケンサー(総合制御装置)とスイッチに出力され、
シーケンサーの発振指令が出力される。スイッチに回転
角度判定信号とシーケンサーからの発振指令の両者が出
力されると、高周波発振器内のタイマーにより時間制御
されて所定時間の間、発信回路が作動してインダクタ8
に高周波電流を流す。このとき、高周波発振器には出力
監視装置が内蔵されているので、該出力監視装置から外
部へデータを出力することも可能である。
値であるかどうか判断する機能を有しており、異常デー
タ発生時は、シーケンサーへの信号を出力し、駆動装置
を停止させることができる。また前記出力監視装置は各
出力値データを保存しておくメモリ機能を有しており、
該メモリは、例えば過去50〜100回程度の適宜の最
終製品である包装容器Cの1ケ分の高周波発振器の発振
状態を記憶する容量を有している。したがって、最終製
品である包装容器Cに不良品が発生した場合でも、メモ
リに保存された過去のデータを出力監視装置を介して外
部に出力して、そのデータを検討することにより、高周
波発振器の不良の発生時期を見いだすことができ、ま
た、その原因究明もでき、歩留まりを向上させることが
できるだけでなく、不良品の発生を防ぐための有効な資
料が得られる。
ーに関する事項は高周波電流値(検出電流の平均値)、
ピーク直流電流値、出力積算値[{平均電流値(I)}
2×時間(t)]、通電時間(発振時間)、インターバ
ル時間(通電時間+非通電時間)、電圧値などである。
超えると、警報を発する。例えば図4には2組の封止ジ
ョー7、7’の高周波発振(通電)時間、カッティング
及び加圧動作のタイムチャートを示す。2組の封止ジョ
ー7、7’が交互にウェブWの横シールを行うが、出力
監視モニターで管理する加熱エネルギーに関する前記事
項の異常時の監視モニターへの表示例を図5、図6及び
図7に示す。
示し、図5(a)は包装容器Cの1ケ分の加熱工程が抜
けた状態であり、図5(b)は図示したケースでの最初
のインターバル時間が長すぎて、二ケ目の包装容器C分
の通電時間がカッティング時間に食い込んでいる状態を
示す。
異常の例を示し、図6(a)はそれが長すぎ、図6
(b)はそれが短すぎる例である。この高周波発振(通
電)時間の異常により、出力積算値も異常となることは
あきらかである。
視対象の各出力値の上限値または下限値(例えば設定値
の±5%)を超えると警報が発せられるように設定す
る。また、電流値の異常は図7に示すが、実際の高周波
電流は図7に示すようにピーク電流値があり、図4など
には平均の高周波電流値を示しているが、これらの各出
力値の上限値または下限値(例えば設定値の±5%)を
超えると出力値に異常があると判断して警報が発せられ
るように設定する。
高周波の発振エネルギーに左右される。従来は、電流値
と電圧値の瞬間の出力値のみをモニタリングして、イン
ダクタ8が正常に作動しているかどうかを監視していた
が、本実施例では、前記各種出力値を監視し、これらの
出力値をすべて設定値の範囲内に納めることにより、ウ
ェブWの横シールの確実性が保障できるようになり、最
終の包装容器に不良品が発生することがなくなった。ま
た、本発明においては、ウェブWの横シール性を保障す
るための電気的なデータをメモリ内に保存しておくこと
ができ、何らかの異常が発生しても、その原因を究明し
易くなった。

Claims (5)
- 【請求項1】 板状ウェブを管状ウェブに成形し、該管
状ウェブ内に流動性充填液を充填して、充填液液面下に
位置する管状ウェブの側面を密封シールし、密封シール
部分を切断することで包装容器を製造する包装容器製造
方法において、 充填液液面下に位置する管状ウェブの側面を密封シール
するための加熱エネルギーに関係する値のモニタリング
を行うと同時に所定の管状ウェブの密封シール作動回数
分だけ前記加熱エネルギーに関係する値を保存すること
で、ウェブの前記密封シール状態の程度を監視すること
を特徴とする包装容器製造方法。 - 【請求項2】 加熱エネルギーが高周波誘導加熱である
場合は、加熱エネルギーに関係する値としてピーク電流
値、平均電流値、通電時間、加熱出力積算値(平均電流
値の2乗×通電時間)、通電時間間隔および電圧値の出
力値をモニタリングすることを特徴とする請求項1記載
の包装容器製造方法。 - 【請求項3】 加熱エネルギーに関係する前記各種の出
力値が予め設定された範囲内にあるように調整すること
を特徴とする請求項1記載の包装容器製造方法。 - 【請求項4】 板状ウェブを管状ウェブに成形し、該管
状ウェブ内に流動性充填液を充填して、充填液液面下に
位置する管状ウェブの側面を密封シールする加圧手段と
密封シール部分を切断する切断手段を備えた包装容器を
製造する包装容器製造装置において、 加圧手段の充填液液面下に位置する管状ウェブの側面を
密封シールするための加熱エネルギーに関係する値のモ
ニタリングをする出力監視手段と、 所定の管状ウェブの密封シール作動回数分だけ前記加熱
エネルギーに関係する値を保存する記憶手段とを設けた
ことを特徴とする包装容器製造装置。 - 【請求項5】 管状ウェブの側面を密封シールするため
の加熱エネルギーに関係する値のモニタリングをする出
力監視手段の出力値に基づき、加熱エネルギーに関係す
る前記各種の出力値が予め設定された範囲内にあるよう
に調整する制御装置を設けたことを特徴とする請求項4
記載の包装容器製造装置。
