Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a feed for fish breeding capable of keeping formability irrespective of method for adding oil, and high in upper limit of oil absorptivity, by making the feed include a dried extraction residue from a process of extracting starch from potatos or the like. SOLUTION: This feed is obtained by including preferably 2 to 15 wt.% of dried extraction residue from a process of extracting starch from potato, sweet potato, tapioca or the like. The feed can be in the form of solid or powder. Method for adding the extraction residue to the feed is not limited. For example, the residue can be added to the feed, while it is produced from fish meal as the main ingredient, soybean oil residue, gluten meal, flour, vitamins, minerals and the like.

When red sea bream and salmon trout are cultivated, fish containing a large amount of oils and fats such as sardines are eaten. However, as the number of raw fish such as sardines decreases, farming with artificial feed is inevitable. Therefore, it is essential to make the artificial feed contain a large amount of fats and oils, but it is not easy to make the artificial feed contain fats and oils. Currently, methods of adding fats and oils such as fish oil to solid feed for fish farming are roughly classified into an internal addition method in which the oil is added to the powder before molding or added at the molding stage, and an external addition method in which the oil is adsorbed to the pellets after molding. ing.

[0003] The external addition method has the advantage of adding fats and oils after molding to a solid feed, which does not affect the formability of powder, but has the disadvantage of increasing equipment costs for adding fats and oils. In the case of powder feed, since it is mixed with live food such as sardines and water and formed, it is difficult to add the powdered feed to highly water-soluble pellets. Therefore, actually, the feed for fish farming employs an internal addition method in which the feed is added to the powder in advance or added at the molding stage.

[0004] In any feed form, when fats and oils are added to the powder at or before the molding stage, the binding properties of the powder are significantly reduced, the pellet hardness is reduced, and the cut surface is roughened. Is observed. This is because the elution of a water-soluble binder such as starch or protein or CMC (sodium carboxymethylcellulose), sodium polyacrylate, or sodium alginate is hindered, and the adhesiveness of the powder is reduced.

[0011] Polymers that are chemically synthesized are known as highly oil-absorbing substances. However, as feed raw materials, safety has not been confirmed, and they are impractical due to high unit prices. However, it is not suitable as a feed material for fish farming. However, as a natural substance and a highly oil-absorbing substance, what was present in rice bran oil cake and above could not be known at all.

The present inventors have conducted research on adding a large amount of fats and oils to fish feed and maintaining moldability and oil absorbency.
By incorporating starch scum into the feed in an amount equivalent to half of the amount of added fats and oils, an improvement in formability that was completely unknown by the prior art was found.

Conventionally, starch scum has been mostly discarded in Kagoshima district to the extent that it becomes part of a rough feed for cattle, and effective utilization of starch scum has been desired. In the present invention, the feed containing the starch scum may be a hard pellet feed obtained by a pellet machine treatment, an EP feed processed by an extruder, an EX feed processed by an expander, or a powdered moist compound feed. In the present invention, it is preferable that the amount of the starch scum is approximately equal to half the amount of the added fat or oil.

[0014] The starch scum can be added to the feed at any step, for example, when the main ingredient is fish meal and soybean oil lees, gluten meal, flour, vitamins and minerals are blended as raw materials. Can be. The fat or oil can be added to the feed after it is adsorbed on starch scum beforehand, or may be added to the feed containing the starch scum. In addition, it was found from the present research that even starch scum is not suitable for the present invention in raw materials other than potatoes, for example, corn gluten feed which is a residue obtained by extracting oil, starch and protein from corn. (The oil absorption capacity of the corn gluten feed was 79.3%.)

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The oil-absorbing ability of starch scum with five kinds of raw materials such as fish meal, soybean oil cake, gluten meal, wheat flour and rice bran oil cake, which are generally used as feed materials for fish farming, was compared.
The oil-absorbing ability referred to here means that 30 g of each sample was weighed and stirred while gradually dropping purified sardine oil with an aluminum ball, and the maximum oil absorption was defined as the end point when fluidity was observed on the surface of the sample. The amount is a value obtained by weight%.

As shown in Table 1, starch scum has almost twice the oil absorption capacity of rice bran lees, which has the highest oil absorption capacity among general raw materials, and is specifically high as a raw material derived from natural products. It was found to have oil absorption ability. Next, the maximum oil absorption of six types of test feeds molded into three types of hard pellets having a diameter of 6 mm, EP and EX at the mixing ratios shown in Table 2 was measured. At the same time, the performance of the pellets was evaluated by panelists.

The evaluation method was as follows: pellets of a constant weight were immersed in refined sardine oil for 2 minutes, and after removing excess oil, the weight was measured to determine the weight gain, ie, the oil absorption. Regarding the workmanship, the control area was marked with ○, and if it was more than that, ◎,
In the case of less than that, the evaluation result for each panel was represented by ◎, 、, and × as x. The work quality refers to the state of cracks and defects on the surface of the pellet and the smoothness of the cut surface.

Although there was a difference in the maximum amount of oil absorbed by each of the production methods, in any of the production methods, the two sections containing the starch scum exhibited an excellent oil absorption rate than the one section containing the rice bran cake, and the molding was excellent. There was something comparable in terms of gender. Next, a growth comparison test was performed on rainbow trout using the EP processed test feeds 1 and 2 and the results shown in Table 4 were obtained.
