Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.バーナー軸(42)ならびにインレットおよびアウトレット(65)を有し、該アウ トレット(65)にテーパ状部(67)を備えた反応チャンバ(62)と、 燃料を酸化剤と所定の割合で混合する混合アセンブリ(40)であって、 該混合アセンブリ(40)が、該バーナー軸(42)のまわりに且つそこから間隔を 隔てて該反応チャンバ(62)の該インレットに配置される複数のミキサ管(41)を有 し、該混合された燃料および酸化剤が該インレットに供給されることを特徴とし 、 各ミキサ管(41)は、燃料を該ミキサ管(41)に導入する燃料インレットと、酸 化剤を該ミキサ管(41)に導入する酸化剤インレットとをさらに備え、該酸化剤イ ンレットはミキサ取り入れ口(43)を規定し、該燃料インレットは、該ミキサ管(4 1)内に該ミキサ取り入れ口(43)からある距離を隔てて配置されるインプット(48) を規定する、混合アセンブリと、 該混合された燃料および酸化剤を吐出するミキサ吐出口(46)であって、実質的 に該ミキサ吐出口(46)の近傍で燃焼が起こり、 該反応チャンバ(62)内に流れの不均衡が生じるように、各ミキサ吐出口(46) は該バーナー軸(42)のまわりに有意な距離をへだてて偏心に配置され、これによ って該既燃混合燃料/酸化剤の一部を該反応チャンバ(62)内で再循環させて、高 温の燃焼ガスを各ミキサ吐出口(46)に向けて引き戻すことにより、該チャンバイ ンレットにおける温度を該混合された燃料および酸化剤の自発点火温度よりも高 い温度に維持し、該燃焼生成物の残りは該反応チャンバ(62)の該アウトレット(6 5)から吐出される、ミキサ吐出口と、を備えた、燃料を酸化剤とともに燃焼させ るバーナーシステム(10)。 2.前記ミキサ管(41)のそれぞれは、ある有効径を有する環状の断面を有し、こ れによりフラッシュバックを抑制する、請求項1に記載のバーナーシステム。 3.前記反応チャンバ(62)の前記アウトレット(65)の近傍に配置され、該アウト レット(65)を通って出てくる前記既燃燃料/酸化剤混合気に対して二次燃料を供 給する二次バイパス吹き出し口(101)をさらに備える、請求項1または2に記載の バーナーシステム。 4.前記バイパス吹き出し口(101)が、炉生成ガスを前記二次燃料へと誘引する ように構成されている、請求項3に記載のバーナーシステム。 5.前記反応チャンバ(62)の前記アウトレット(65)と前記炉との間に配置される 火炎調節部をさらに備え、該炉内の火炎の形状が調節される、請求項1〜4のいず れかに記載のバーナーシステム。 6.前記反応チャンバ(62)は、前記混合された燃料および酸化剤の自発点火を生 じさせるのに十分な温度にチャンバ温度を維持するために十分に高い断熱および 熱的マスを備えたチャンバ壁を有する、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のバーナー システム。 7.パイロットバーナー(61)を含む点火アレンジメントをさらに備えた、請求項 1〜6のいずれかに記載のバーナーシステム。 8.前記酸化剤の温度は予熱器によって上げられる、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記 載のバーナーシステム。 9.前記チャンバアウトレット(65)は、前記反応チャンバ(62)の内径よりも小さ い直径を有し且つ該チャンバの内径から該アウトレット(65)にかけて実質的にテ ーパ状にされた部分(67)を有し、該テーパ状部(67)は、炉生成物の該チャンバへ の逆流を防ぎ、これにより、混合を防ぐ、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のバーナ ーシステム。 10.前記複数のミキサインレットのそれぞれに燃料を共通に供給する燃料プレナ ム(24)を少なくとも1つ備える、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のバーナーシステ ム。 11.前記複数のミキサインレットのそれぞれに酸化剤を共通に供給する酸化剤プ レナム(26)を少なくとも1つ備える、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載のバーナー システム。 12.前記請求項1〜11のいずれか1つに記載されたバーナーシステムを用いて、 燃料/酸化剤混合気を安全に燃焼させ、これにより、NOX排出量を低減し且つ フラッシュバックを制御する方法であって、 a)バーナー軸(42)ならびにチャンバインレットおよびチャンバアウトレット(6 5)を備えた反応チャンバ(62)を提供するステップと、 b)該バーナー軸(42)のまわりに且つそこから間隔を隔てて該チャンバインレッ トに配置され、前記ミキサ管(41)内で燃料を酸化剤と所定の割合で混合して燃料 /酸化剤混合気を生成する、複数のミキサ管(41)を有する混合アセンブリ(40)を 提供するステップであって、燃料/酸化剤混合気の合計体積が該ミキサ管(41)に よって分割され、これにより、全体的なフラッシュバックの可能性を低減する、 ステップと、 c)各混合管内における該燃料および酸化剤の流速を、各混合管内での混合の際 の火炎速度よりも速い速度に維持するステップと、 d)該燃料/酸化剤混合気を、該ミキサ管(41)を介して該チャンバインレットに おいて該反応チャンバ(62)に導入するステップと、 e)該チャンバインレット近傍で燃焼が起こるように該燃料/酸化剤混合気を点 火するステップと、 f)該既燃燃料/酸化剤混合気の一部を該反応チャンバ(62)内で再循環させて熱 を燃焼場所に引き戻すステップであって、再循環を引き起こす流れの不均衡を該 反応チャンバ(62)内に生じるように、該ミキサ管(41)が該バーナー軸(42)から有 意な距離をへだてて偏心に配置される、ステップと、 g)該既燃燃料/酸化剤混合気の残りを該反応チャンバ(62)の該アウトレット(6 5)から吐出するステップと、 を包含する方法。 13.前記反応チャンバ(62)の前記アウトレット(65)の近傍に配置され、該アウト レット(65)を通って出てくる前記既燃燃料/酸化剤混合気に対して二次燃料を供 給する二次バイパス吹き出し口(101)を提供するステップをさらに包含する、請 求項12に記載の方法。 14.前記二次バイパスガス吹き出し口からの前記二次燃料の流速は、毎秒40〜70 0フィートである、請求項13に記載の方法。 15.混合燃料/酸化剤の前記所定の割合の当量比は、可燃限界と化学量論比との 間である、請求項12〜14のいずれかに記載の方法。 16.前記酸化剤は空気である、請求項12から15のいずれかに記載の方法。 17.前記酸化剤は、O250%までの酸素を有する高濃度とした空気である、請求 項12〜15のいずれかに記載の方法。 18.前記酸化剤は、低酸素低濃度空気流(reduced oxygen vitiated air stream) である、請求項12〜15のいずれかに記載の方法。 19.前記燃料は天然ガスである、請求項12〜18のいずれかに記載の方法。 20.前記燃料はガス状の炭化水素燃料である、請求項12〜18のいずれかに記載の 方法。 21.前記燃料は天然ガスであり、前記酸化剤は空気であり、混合空気/天 然ガスの前記所定の割合の当量比は、外気の温度において0.53〜0.795である、 請求項15に記載の方法。
