Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide soil for lawn which is suitable for golf coourses, etc., by adding in the soil a biodegradable plastic that creates pores after degradation hampering reduction in air and water permeability and soil solidification by treading. SOLUTION: For example, this soil contains biodegradable plastic 1 formed in the shape of grain having size (grain diameter) from 0.1mm to 3.0mm of formed in the shape of fiber having length from 1.0cm to 10.0cm and thickness from 0.1mm to 1.0mm is 5-20 volume % (in respect to soil for 10). In this case, it is preferably that coil 10 is bed soil or grain soil.

2. Description of the Related Art In lawns for sports such as stadiums and golf courses, or lawns for parking lots, parks, and recreation, the foot pressure is applied to the floor soil by the use of people, and the soil solidifies. Due to the consolidation of the soil, the physical properties of the floor soil are deteriorated over time, leading to poor growth of turfgrass. Consolidation here is a state in which voids in the soil are reduced by being compacted, and as the soil hardness increases,
Water permeability and air permeability are reduced.

[0003] Therefore, the following measures are taken for the purpose of alleviating the solidification of the soil without relatively damaging the grass surface. (I) Coring Insert a hollow tine vertically into the lawn and remove the soil core together with the lawn. (Ii) Rotate the disk holding the spiking knife to make a cut in the lawn. (Iii) Shuttering Insert a wide blade into the soil and make a cut while applying vibration.

[0004] The conventional means as described above is a point and area tillage operation. In addition, the lawn cannot perform the whole tillage work performed on farmland. Therefore, it is not expected that the entire soil is reduced in consolidation, but rather has a strong property of securing a drainage path to a lower layer of the floor soil having a relatively small degree of consolidation and a drainage layer thereunder. Further, when a tread is applied to a lawn in a wet state after rainfall, the soil on the surface layer of the floor soil is kneaded, resulting in a significant deterioration in water permeability. Furthermore, a layer (thatch layer) in which undegraded dead plants accumulate over time is formed on the surface layer of the grass floor soil. This thatch layer keeps the grass soft and also functions as a water retention layer.
However, if this is formed excessively, it causes drainage and poor ventilation, resulting in poor grass. It is difficult for the conventional means as described above to cope with such a phenomenon that occurs over the entire surface of the floor soil layer.

[0005] Furthermore, lawns are used in situations where the plant solids are very dense. Therefore, it is necessary to appropriately replenish soil for newly germinated solids and new shoots to grow. The soil to be replenished is called “medium”,
Forced non-landing is also sprayed on the lawn for that purpose. The standard of spraying is about 2 to 6 times a year at a soccer field or the like, which is equivalent to a total thickness of 0.5 to 1.0 cm. This sprinkling of soil and the accumulation of the above-mentioned slashes raise the lawn surface over time. In the case where there is a land track around the lawn as in a track and field stadium, a step is generated between the two.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION The lawn soil referred to in the present invention means the whole soil generally used for lawn growth, for example, floor soil for lawn growth or newly germinated solids and sprout. Includes the soil (eye soil) for growing. The biodegradable plastic used in the present invention means a plastic that can be decomposed in a few months to about one year by microorganisms existing in the soil, and does not stop its original form by decomposition. Several types of such biodegradable plastics are commercially available and are readily available. In the present invention, the biodegradable plastic is preferably in a granular or fibrous shape. For example, if it is granular,
The form may be a general sphere or rectangle, or may be a variant such as a manufacturing by-product. The size (particle size) is, for example, 0.1 to 3.0.
mm is preferable. In the case of a fibrous form, the length is 1.0 to 10.
The thickness is preferably about 0 cm, and the thickness is preferably 0.1 to 1.0 mm. The granular and fibrous biodegradable plastics can be used in combination, and according to this, voids more suitable for lawn growth are formed in the soil by decomposition of the biodegradable plastics, which is preferable. Biodegradable plastics are 5-20
% By volume, preferably 5 to 10% by volume, and the soil and the biodegradable plastic are preferably mixed uniformly.

Further description will be made with reference to the drawings. FIG.
FIG. 3 is a diagram for explaining a process of consolidating lawn flooring when no measures are taken. As shown in FIG. 2 (i), the soil particles 10 before being treaded have voids 1 between the particles.
1 exists, but when pressure is applied, the soil solidifies,
As a result, as shown in FIG. 2 (ii), the volume of the gap 11 is significantly reduced. In such a condition, the soil hardness is increasing, the permeability and permeability are reduced,
It causes poor growth of turfgrass and deteriorates physical properties of the floor soil.
In contrast, when the lawn soil of the present invention was used, FIG.
As shown in (i), even if the biodegradable plastic 1 exists between the soil particles 10 in the form of granules or fibers and the soil starts to solidify due to stepping pressure, the biodegradable plastic 1 biodegrades. Thus, a new void 3 is generated between the soil particles 10, and the consolidation of the soil is suppressed as a whole. The appearance of the new void 3 leads to improvement of water permeability and air permeability, promotion of turfgrass growth, and maintenance of physical properties of the floor soil.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, the present invention will be further described with reference to examples. One in the field of the existing soccer driving range
Two m-square plots were set (biodegradable plastic mixed plot and non-mixed plot), and the turfgrass in the plot was peeled off and soil up to a depth of 10 cm was taken out. To the soil taken out from one compartment (biodegradable plastic mixed zone), granular and fibrous biodegradable plastics were added at a volume ratio of 5 to the soil.
The mixture was uniformly mixed by volume%. The granular biodegradable plastic was spherical and had a diameter of 0.25 to 0.75 mm, and the fibrous plastic used had a thickness of 0.1 to 0.2 mm and a length of 2 to 3 cm. The soil and turfgrass were returned so that both plots were at the same height as the surroundings, and after a two-month curing period, they were used for normal use. Before the start of use and 12 months later, a soil core on the surface layer of the floor soil (5 cm in depth) was collected, and the saturated hydraulic conductivity was measured by a constant water level method. The water permeability before the start of use is 1.8 × 10 in the biodegradable plastic mixed section.
−2 cm / sec, and 2.1 × 10 −2 cm / sec in the non-mixed section.
On the other hand, the value after 12 months is 1.4 × 10 −2 cm / sec in the biodegradable plastic-mixed section and 5.3 × 1 cm / sec in the non-mixed section.
It was 0 −3 cm / sec, and it was confirmed that the decrease in water permeability in the biodegradable plastic mixed section was alleviated.

The lawn soil of the present invention contains the biodegradable plastic, and therefore has the following effects. (I) Decomposition of the biodegradable plastic contained in the lawn soil creates new voids in the soil, reducing or delaying the decrease in water permeability and air permeability. (Ii) The above-mentioned voids gradually occur with decomposition,
Can help invading grass roots. (Iii) The above voids disappear over time due to solidification due to treading pressure or root invasion. For this reason, the rise of the lawn surface is reduced or delayed.
