Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tackifier composition, having practically sufficient tackiness, excellent in moisture permeability, relatively less expensive and suitable in a field of an adhesive tape to be applied on the skin, etc., by compounding a rubber-based tackifier with a silicone-based tackifier at a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This tackifier composition is obtained by compounding (A) 70-90wt.% of a rubber-based tacky agent [e.g. a product obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of an elastomer such as a natural rubber, a polyisobutylene, a styrene-butadiene copolymer with 50-250 pts.wt. of a tackiness- imparting agent such as a (hydrogenated) rosin, 0-100 pts.wt. of a softener such as various kind of plasticizer, 0-15 pts.wt. of a filler such as zinc white and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of an antioxidant such as butylhydroxytoluene] and (B) 10-30wt.% of a silicone-based tekifier (e.g. a product obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane with 0.1-15 pts.wt. of a filler).

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and more specifically, a pressure-sensitive adhesive having a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive that retains the pressure-sensitive adhesive properties at a practically satisfactory level and has significantly improved moisture permeability. It relates to a composition. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the present invention is suitable for a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet that is mainly attached to the skin.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, various adhesive tapes have been developed which are used by being directly applied to the skin surface, such as a patch containing a drug or an adhesive tape for protecting a wound surface. In the adhesive tape applied to these skins,
(1) Adhesive property that does not easily peel off, (2) Adhesive has no irritation to the skin, (3) Moisture permeability of the adhesive and adhesive tape is high, and moisture evaporates from the skin Is required not to stay between the adhesive tape and the skin. Among conventional pressure-sensitive adhesives, silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesives have very good moisture permeability, but their high cost makes them practically limited to applications with high added value. Acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives are widely used in the market because they can obtain pressure-sensitive adhesives having good moisture permeability and are inexpensive.

On the other hand, a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive has the advantages of excellent adhesive properties and low cost, but the moisture permeability of each component is extremely low, and therefore the moisture permeability of the pressure-sensitive adhesive itself is also low. For this reason, when a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape based on a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive is produced and applied to the skin for a long time, moisture evaporated from the skin stays at the interface between the skin and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and this moisture causes the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape to peel off. Will end up. In order to solve this problem, a method of improving moisture permeability by mixing a water-soluble polymer or various inorganic fillers in a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive or by foaming the pressure-sensitive adhesive has been tried. However, due to the reason that the adhesion area to the skin surface is reduced, the excellent adhesive force originally possessed by the rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive is significantly reduced, and the rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive easily peels off.

An object of the present invention is to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition having improved moisture permeability without impairing the excellent pressure-sensitive adhesive properties of the rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive.
When a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive is used on the skin, it is difficult to simultaneously maintain practically satisfactory adhesive properties and moisture permeability. Therefore, the inventors of the present invention have earnestly studied in order to obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive having the adhesive property of the rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive at a practical level and improved moisture permeability. By blending an adhesive,
It has been found that the above object can be achieved.

It is known that silicone adhesives have excellent moisture permeability. Therefore, when a relatively large amount of a silicone-based adhesive was blended with a rubber-based adhesive and an adhesive tape was produced using the obtained adhesive composition, it was found that the adhesive tape was more transparent than an adhesive tape using a rubber-based adhesive. Although the wettability was improved to some extent, the adhesive property was significantly reduced, and it was easy to peel off when applied to the skin. That is, this blend system could not maintain the adhesive properties of the rubber-based adhesive and the silicone-based adhesive. However, when a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape was prepared from a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition in which a small amount of a silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive was mixed with a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, it was found that it retains practically sufficient pressure-sensitive adhesive properties, and surprisingly It has been found that it shows higher moisture permeability than the adhesive tape. Since the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the present invention uses a small amount of an expensive silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, it is possible to provide a low-cost pressure-sensitive adhesive having excellent moisture permeability. The present invention has been completed based on these findings.

In the present invention, 70 to 90% by weight of the rubber adhesive and 10 to 30% by weight of the silicone adhesive are mixed to form an adhesive composition. When the blending ratio of the silicone-based adhesive in the adhesive composition is less than 10% by weight, the effect of improving the moisture permeability is small, and conversely, when it exceeds 30% by weight, the moisture permeability is higher than that of the rubber-based adhesive alone. Although high, the adhesive property is deteriorated and the adhesive composition becomes expensive. When the blending ratio of the silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive is in the range of 10 to 30% by weight, the moisture-permeable property is higher than that in the case of using the silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive alone, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition has a practically satisfactory level of the pressure-sensitive adhesive property. Can be obtained. The preferred blending ratio of the silicone adhesive is 15 to 25% by weight
Therefore, the preferable usage ratio of the rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive is 75 to 85% by weight.

Since the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the present invention has good practical performance on the skin (good pressure-sensitive adhesive properties and excellent moisture permeability), it contains a drug in addition to a drug-free pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet. It is also used for transdermal drug delivery. In this case, within the range that does not affect the practical characteristics,
Various transdermal absorption enhancers can be contained. The drug that can be used is not limited as long as it can penetrate biological membranes such as skin and mucous membranes, and examples thereof include anti-inflammatory agents, analgesics, tranquilizers, narcotics antagonists, anticancer agents, vasodilators, and arrhythmias. Agents, therapeutic agents for asthma and the like. The addition amount of these agents is usually up to 25% by weight based on the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. Depending on the type of drug, addition of a large amount of drug may result in deterioration of adhesive properties. In order to produce a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet using the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the present invention, a solution of each pressure-sensitive adhesive is blended in a predetermined amount and stirred until the two types of pressure-sensitive adhesives are sufficiently mixed, and then a release paper or support. Cast on the body and heat dry.
