Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はCATVのアドレッサブル端末装置に関し，特に，
該アドレッサブル端末装置への自己アドレスの設定法に
関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来，この種のアドレッサブル端末装置は，端末個別の
アドレスを内部のディップスイッチまたはあらかじめRO
Mへ書き込んだデータにより設定していた。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
しかしながら，後者のアドレスをROMへの書き込みデー
タにより設定する方式の場合は，アドレスを変更する
際，アドレッサブル端末装置本体の内部をあけ,ROMをは
ずしROMのデータを変更しなければならないという欠点
がある。さらに,ROMを取りはずしできるようICソケット
を必要とするため信頼性が低下するという欠点がある。
また，前者のディップスイッチによりアドレスを設定す
る方式の場合は，アドレスの変更はROMによる方式に比
べ簡単に行なえるが，加入者のいたずら等により内部を
あけられアドレスを変更されることを防止するため，筐
体構造を工夫したり，いたずらしようとした時に端末の
機能を停止する等のしかけを設ける必要があるという欠
点がある。
本発明の目的は，上記欠点を除去し，アドレッサブル端
末装置本体の外部から自己アドレスの設定や変更を行な
うことができ，しかも，いたずら等によるアドレスの変
更を防止できるCATVアドレッサブル端末装置を提供する
ことにある。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明によれば、自己のアドレスを格納する記憶装置
を、アドレッサブル端末装置本体内に有し、センターか
ら送信される端末制御信号に付加された端末アドレス
を、前記記憶装置の前記自己のアドレスと照合して一致
した場合、自端末への端末制御信号と判断し、該端末制
御信号の制御内容にしたがい動作するCATVのアドレッサ
ブル端末装置であって、前記アドレッサブル端末装置本
体に操作コードを光信号として送信することによって、
前記アドレッサブル端末装置本体の操作を遠隔制御可能
な操作リモコンキーパッドを有する前記アドレッサブル
端末装置において、前記記憶装置として電気的に情報の
書換えが可能なROMを用いると共に、前記アドレッサブ
ル端末装置本体に前記操作コードとは異なるアドレスコ
ードを前記光信号として送信することによって、前記ア
ドレッサブル端末装置本体の前記ROMのアドレスの設
定、変更を遠隔制御可能なアドレス設定用リモコンキー
バッドを、前記操作リモコンキーパッドとは別に有し、
前記アドレッサブル端末装置本体は、受信した光信号が
前記操作コードか前記アドレスコードかを判定し、前記
操作コードであれば、この操作コードにしたがった操作
を前記アドレッサブル端末装置本体に行なわせ、前記ア
ドレスコードであれば、このアドレスコードのアドレス
を前記ROMに書き込み、アドレスの設定、変更を行なう
処理手段を有することを特徴とするCATVアドレッサブル
端末装置が得られる。
〔実施例〕
次に，本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例の構成図である。１はアドレ
ッサブル端末装置本体,2は操作リモコンキーパッド,3は
アドレス設定用リモコンキーパッドである。４はリモコ
ン受光部,5はデコーダ,6はCPU,7は電気的に情報の書換
えが可能なROMとしてのEEPROMである。８はチューナ,9
は通信インターフェース,10は分配器,11は入力端子,12
は出力端子である。
アドレス設定用リモコンキーパッド３から送信されたア
ドレスコードは，操作リモコンキーパッド２と共通のリ
モコン受光部４で受信され，デコーダ５で復号され,CPU
6でアドレスコードか操作コードかを判定する。CPU6
は，アドレスコードであれば,EEPROM7のアドレスデータ
を消去し，該アドレスコードを新たなアドレスデータと
して書き込む。操作リモコンキーパッド２から送信され
た操作コードであれば，操作コードにしたがいチューナ
８に，チャンネル選局等を行なわせる。
個々の端末を制御するため，端末のアドレスが付加され
た，センターから送信される端末制御信号は，入力端子
11に入力され分配器10を通り通信インターフェース９を
通って,CPU6に入力される。各端末はこの制御信号に付
加されたアドレスをEEPROM7に設定されたアドレスと照
合して，自端末への制御信号かどうかを判断し，端末ご
とに制御内容にしたがい動作する。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は，アドレスを端末内部に設
けられた，電気的に情報の書換えが可能なROMにアドレ
ス設定用の専用リモコンキーパッドを用いて書き込むこ
とにより，アドレスの設定，変更を外部から簡単に行な
うことができる効果がある。内部の前記ROMは，取りは
ずす必要がないので,ICソケットを使う必要がなく，信
頼性の面においても効果がある。また，アドレス設定用
の専用リモコンキーパッドは通常の操作リモコンキーパ
ッドとは異なるコードを使用するので，アドレス設定用
の専用リモコンキーパッドがなければアドレスを変更す
ることはできない。したがって，加入者等他の人がいた
ずら等でアドレスを変更することができないという効果
がある。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】自己のアドレスを格納する記憶装置を、ア
    ドレッサブル端末装置本体内に有し、センターから送信
    される端末制御信号に付加された端末アドレスを、前記
    記憶装置の前記自己のアドレスと照合して一致した場
    合、自端末への端末制御信号と判断し、該端末制御信号
    の制御内容にしたがい動作するCATVのアドレッサブル端
    末装置であって、前記アドレッサブル端末装置本体に操
    作コードを光信号として送信することによって、前記ア
    ドレッサブル端末装置本体の操作を遠隔制御可能な操作
    リモコンキーパッドを有する前記アドレッサブル端末装
    置において、前記記憶装置として電気的に情報の書換え
    が可能なROMを用いると共に、前記アドレッサブル端末
    装置本体に前記操作コードとは異なるアドレスコードを
    前記光信号として送信することによって、前記アドレッ
    サブル端末装置本体の前記ROMのアドレスの設定、変更
    を遠隔制御可能なアドレス設定用リモコンキーバッド
    を、前記操作リモコンキーパッドとは別に有し、前記ア
    ドレッサブル端末装置本体は、受信した光信号が前記操
    作コードか前記アドレスコードかを判定し、前記操作コ
    ードであれば、この操作コードにしたがった操作を前記
    アドレッサブル端末装置本体に行なわせ、前記アドレス
    コードであれば、このアドレスコードのアドレスを前記
    ROMに書き込み、アドレスの設定、変更を行なう処理手
    段を有することを特徴とするCATVアドレッサブル端末装
    置。
