Abstract
Description
Claims (30)
- 1.検体の胃腸管用の経皮的に配置されるペースメーカー刺激システムであって 、電流を供給するための手段と、 検体の皮膚及び検体の胃腸管の内部層を貫通して電流を伝送するための手段と、 胃腸管の内側から胃腸管の内部層に電流を印加するための手段とを、備えている ことを特徴とするシステム。
- 2.電流の量を調節するための手段を更に備え、この手段に供給手段が応答する ことを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 3.電流を供給するための手段は、電流のパルスを供給するための手段を含んで いることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 4.電流のパルスの反復率を調節するための手段を更に備え、この手段に供給手 段が応答することを特徴とする請求項3記載のシステム。
- 5.印加をするための手段は、少なくとも一つの刺激電極を、少なくとも一つの 刺激電極それぞれを胃腸管の内部層に物理的に接触させる形状になつた少なくと も一つの触手それぞれの端に備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステ ム。
- 6.胃腸管内に配置され、胃腸管の内容物のpHに関する電気的指示を提供する pH測定装置を更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 7.pHを測定するための手段からの電気的指示を受け、電気的指示の表示を提 供するための手段を更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項6記載のシステム。
- 8.胃腸管内に配置され、胃腸管内の圧力に関する電気的指示を提供する圧力測 定装置を更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 9.圧力測定装置からの電気的指示を受け、電気的指示の表示を提供するための 手段を更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項8記載のシステム。
- 10.圧力測定装置は、腸管において電気信号を伝送するための手段よりも下流 に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項8記載のシステム。
- 11.胃腸管内に配置され、筋肉の電気的作用に関する電気的指示を提供する筋 肉の電気的作用測定装置を更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシス テム。
- 12.筋肉の電気的作用測定装置からの電気的指示を受け、電気的指示の表示を 提供するための手段を更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項11記載のシステ ム。
- 13.印加をするための手段は、 伝送するための手段の近くに配置された少なくとも一つの刺激電極と、伝送する ための手段の近くに配置された少なくとも一つの刺激電極よりも伝送するための 手段からかなり離れて配置された少なくとも一つの追加の刺激電極であって、追 加の刺激電極が胃腸管内でより下流に浮遊することができるよう、軟質部材の端 又は端の附近に配置された少なくとも一つの追加の電極とを、含んでいることを 特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 14.伝送するための手段は、 可撓性チューブと、 該チューブを、皮膚の表面と胃腸管の内部層との間の所定の位置に固定するため の手段とを、 含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 15.固定するための手段は、 胃腸管寄りのチューブの端に取り付けられ、伝送するための手段よりも大きな横 方向の寸法を有するマッシュルーム形構造体であって、伝送するための手段の検 体からの外れに対するバリヤーを構成するマッシュルーム形構造体を、含んでい ることを特徴とする請求項14記載のシステム。
- 16.マッシュルーム形構造体は、システムが容易に取り外せるように軟質で圧 縮可能であることを特徴とする請求項15記載のシステム。
- 17.マッシュルーム形構造体は、システムが外れ易いことに対する強力な歯止 めを構成するよう、堅いことをことを特徴とする請求項15記載のシステム。
- 18.電流を伝送するための手段とほぼ平行に延びる口部であって、物質を胃腸 管に導入し、胃腸管から除去することができるよう、検体の外側と胃腸管の内部 との間に導管を構成する口部を、 更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 19.胃腸管において印加するための手段よりも下流に配置され、印加するため の手段に応答して生ずる胃腸の作用を検知する反応検知装置と、(1)印加する ための手段による電流の印加と(2)反応検知装置からの検知された胃腸の作用 との間の遅延時間を検知し、反応性の胃腸作用が検知されない場合又は遅延が所 定の閾値を越えた場合に、供給するための手段に追加の電流を直ちに供給させる ための手段とを、 更に備えていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシステム。
- 20.検体の胃腸管において筋肉の作用を刺激する方法であって、胃腸管内に経 皮的に挿入された電極を有する装置を用意する工程と、胃腸管の内部層を直接刺 激するため、装置に電流を印加する工程とを、含んでいることを特徴とする方法 。
- 21.電流の量を調節することを更に含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記 載の方法。
- 22.電流のパルスを送る速度を調節することを更に含んでいることを特徴とす る請求項20記載の方法。
- 23.印加工程は、胃腸管に蠕動を生じさせる態様で、電流を時間の関数として 印加することを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方法。
- 24.用意工程は、一以上の刺激電極を、胃腸管の内部層に触れるよう、経皮的 に挿入されたチューブから曲って戻る触手の端又は端の附近に有する装置を用意 することを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方法。
- 25.用意工程は、一以上の刺激電極を、胃腸管内で自由に浮遊するよう、経皮 的に挿入されたチューブから曲って戻る触手の端又は端の附近に有する装置を用 意することを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方法。
- 26.用意工程は、一以上のセンサ電極を、胃腸管のより下流の部分で自由に浮 遊するよう、経皮的に挿入されたチューブから曲って戻る触手の端又は端の附近 に有する装置を用意することを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方 法。
- 27.胃腸管の内容物のpHを測定することと、pHの外部表示を提供すること を、 更に含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方法。
- 28.胃腸管内の圧力を測定することと、圧力の外部表示を提供することを、 更に含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方法。
- 29.胃腸管内の電気的筋肉作用を測定することと、該作用の外部表示を提供す ることを、 /更に含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方法。
- 30.胃腸管の異なる箇所で、印加電流と、それに対する反応との間の遅延を検 知することと、 所定の時間内に反応がない場合又は遅延が所定の閾値よりも大きな場合、追加の 電流を印加することを、 更に含んでいることを特徴とする請求項20記載の方法。
