[従来の技術] 圧電振動子とりわけ水晶振動子は信号源、発振源として
広く利用されている。最近は表面実装型の圧電振動子も
広く利用されるようになってきている。第3図は、従来
のフラット型圧電振動子用容器の断面図である。セラミ
ック基板のベース1に導電部を設け、水晶発振板を支持
具に固着している。なお本図では水晶振動子及び支持具
は省略している。そしてフタ2もにセラミックが用いら
れ、ベース1と気密封止するのに低融点ガラスが用いら
れ、高温に過熱して溶融させて固着するが、この低融点
ガラスが外部に噴き出す現象が生じる。これは気密封止
をする加熱工程で高温になり、内部の気体が膨張し不均
一について低融点ガラスの個所から外部に向かってガラ
スが噴き出すおそれがある。

本図では圧電振動板、支持具、導電部は省略している。
そしてセラミックから成るフタ2とベース1を低融点ガ
ラス3により固定し、気密封止している。

温度と上部からの圧力で外気圧よりも高くなり、上部加
圧が低いとベースとフタの間から低融点ガラスが容器外
部に向かって噴き出すが、フタ底面に傾斜があると、低
融点ガラスが狭い隙間を通過するには抵抗が大きいた
め、外部に出にくくなる。
