Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a tacky adhesive composition containing a specific amount of a WAVEGUIDE compound based on the solid component of resin, exhibiting excellent rust-proofing effect and suitable for label sheet, tape, etc. CONSTITUTION:This tacky adhesive composition contains (A) an acrylic polymer obtained e.g. by the copolymerization of 930pts. of n-butyl acrylate and 70 pts.wt. of acrylic: acrid monomer and (B) 0.05-2.0wt.% (based on the solid component of the resin) of a benzotriazole compound. A label sheet or tape can be produced by applying the tacky adhesive composition to the aluminized surface of a plastic film having an aluminized face.

2. Description of the Related Art Adhesive labels, seals, tapes and the like are used for various purposes using paper and films as a base material. Among them, pressure-sensitive adhesive products using a metal vapor-deposited film as a base material are utilized for functions such as light reflection, hiding effect on the surface of an adherend, and metallic appearance for surface printing, and a window reflection sheet, Used for packaging materials, battery labels, etc. The pressure-sensitive adhesive used here includes a rubber-type pressure-sensitive adhesive obtained by adding a tackifying resin such as rosin and rosin ester to natural rubber, and an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composed of a copolymer of acrylic acid and its ester. Acrylic adhesives are often used because of their excellent physical properties such as weather resistance and transparency.

Adhesive products using a metal vapor deposition film as a base material are directly coated with an adhesive on the metal vapor deposition surface of the base material film, dried and then laminated with release paper, and a direct coating method in which the release paper is coated and dried. It is manufactured by a transfer method in which it is laminated on the metal deposition surface of the rear substrate film. The coating product thus produced is further cut and used in the form of a sheet, label, tape or the like. Such adhesive products are used under a wide variety of conditions from low temperature to high temperature and high humidity, and especially under high temperature and high humidity, the metal vapor-deposited surface is corroded and the metallic luster of the metal-colored film surface is reduced, which reduces its function. There is something to do. This phenomenon is due to the fact that metals such as aluminum and copper are used for the metal vapor deposition layer, and the thickness is usually about 500 angstroms. Corrosion progresses rapidly under high temperature and high humidity and changes to oxides or hydroxides, resulting in appearance. The metallic luster is reduced,
Furthermore, it is considered that it becomes transparent. Against such a phenomenon, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer rather has a role of protecting the metal vapor-deposited surface, increasing the coating amount of the pressure-sensitive adhesive, and the polar group (hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, etc.)-Containing raw material used for the pressure-sensitive adhesive. By adjusting the amount used, the corrosion rate can be suppressed to some extent, but this is not practically sufficient.

In the present invention, as a result of various studies in order to overcome the drawbacks of these conventional acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives, as a result, benzotriazoles were reduced to 0% based on the resin solid content of the pressure-sensitive adhesive. It has been found that a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing 0.05% or more and 2.0% by weight or less shows an excellent rust preventive effect on a metal adherend and a substrate using a metal as a constituent material. Is. In the present invention, the benzotriazoles refer to benzotriazole and derivatives in which the benzene ring is substituted with an alkyl group such as a methyl group or an ethyl group, a halogen atom such as chlorine or bromine, or the like.

The inclusion of benzotriazoles in the present invention in an amount of 0.05 or more and 2.0% by weight or less is
It can be applied to the formulation design of all pressure-sensitive adhesives, and exhibits an excellent rust-preventing effect on a metal adherend and a base material using a metal as a constituent material. The amount of benzotriazoles added to the adhesive is 0.05
It is preferably 2.0% by weight or more and less than 0.05% by weight, almost no rust preventive effect is observed, and 2.0% by weight or less.
If it exceeds, the cohesive force of the pressure-sensitive adhesive (measured as a holding force in the evaluation of pressure-sensitive adhesive properties) decreases, which causes sticking-out and stickiness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive when cutting the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet.

EXAMPLES The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to examples. In the examples, “part” means “part by weight” and “%” means “% by weight”. (Synthesis of Acrylic Polymer a) Ethyl acetate (840 parts) and toluene (59 parts) in a 3-necked 4-necked flask equipped with a stirrer, a reflux condenser, a dropping tank, a thermometer, and a nitrogen gas introduction tube.
Prepare the department. In addition, n-butyl acrylate 93 was added to the dropping tank.
Charge 0 part, 70 parts of acrylic acid monomer, and 140 parts of ethyl acetate. The inside temperature of the four-necked flask is raised by replacing it with nitrogen gas while stirring. When the reflux started from the reflux condenser, 2 parts of t-butylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoate (product name: Perbutyl O, manufactured by NOF CORPORATION) was added, and the mixture charged in the dropping tank was taken for 3 hours. Drip at an even rate. After completion of the dropping, t-butylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoate is added in 2 parts at 1 hour and 2 hours. After a further 2 hours, 464 parts of ethyl acetate are added and the mixture is cooled. During the period from the start of the reaction to the cooling, the external temperature is adjusted and the reflux state is always maintained. By the above operation, the solid content is 39.9%, the viscosity is 2800 centipoise (B
L-type viscometer, using # 3 spindle, 12 rotations, 25 ° C)
Acrylic polymer a was obtained.

Example 1 To the above acrylic polymer a, benzotriazole was added in an amount of 0.05% based on the resin solid content, stirred and dissolved, and then trimethylolpropane tolylene diisocyanate adduct (product name: Coronate L, Japan Polyurethane Co., Ltd.) was added to the resin solid content in an amount of 2.5%, and the mixture was further stirred. This was coated on a commercially available poly-laminated release paper using a hand applicator, dried at 100 ° C for 2 minutes, and then aluminum vapor-deposited on the inner surface to form a PE with a thickness of 50 microns.
It was transferred onto the aluminum vapor deposition surface of the T film. Further, this coated product was aged for 7 days in an atmosphere of 23 ° C.-65% to prepare a tack sheet for test, and the above evaluation was performed. The coating amount of the pressure-sensitive adhesive was adjusted to be 25 g / m 2 as a dry coating film. The evaluation results are shown in Table 1.
