Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野］ 本考案はベアリングのシール装置に関し、具体的には該
ベアリングの内・外部に生じる圧力差に対処できるベア
リングシールに関する。
［従来の技術］ 従来、ベアリングシールによって密封されたベアリング
は機関の運転・停止によって発冷熱を繰り返しその内外
に圧力差を生じせしめる。
以下図面を参照しつつ詳述する。
この該圧力変化は、第３図の様に、ベアリングシール
Ａ′の持ち上がりＢ（点線部分）あるいは吸い付きを起
こし、結果として密封力を低下させるのは勿論シールリ
ップの早期摩耗や損傷を引き起こす重大な危険性をもっ
ている。
この現象を解消するために種々の方法が試みられてお
り、外力に対する構造増強を図ったものから一部分にス
リットを設けた抜圧形状まで様々な形状が実施されてい
る。
［考案が解決しようとする課題］ しかしながら、この様な構造ではいかにも形状が複雑で
成形性及び価格的に大きく劣り、特に前者の構造増強型
では重量的に大きな不利となり、後者のスリット入り型
は該スリットが内部のグリースを流失させかねない危険
性を持つなど容認できない欠点がある。
本考案は、この様な欠点を除去し、シンプルな形状で耐
圧力性に優れしかも強力な密封力を発揮するベアリング
シールを提供することを目的としている。
［課題を解決するための手段］ 本考案は、第１図に示す様に、ベアリング１に嵌挿入さ
れその内部と外部とを密封する弾性体２と補強環３から
なったベアリングシールＡであって；前記ベアリングシ
ールＡの外周面５の近傍の外側面へ前記外周面５より突
出する突起部６を形成せしめ、ベアリングの環状溝４に
前記外周面５を圧接触せしめると共に該環状溝４の外側
溝角部及びその付近に前記突起部６を接触せしめたこと
を特徴としている。
［作用］ 本考案は、上記の様な構造をもって下記に示す優れた作
用をなす。
すなわち、本考案のベアリングシールＡは、その取り付
け部が外輪1aの内周面に削設された環状溝４に圧接触し
ており、さらに該環状溝４の外側角面に突起部６が接触
している。
このベアリングシールＡを装着したベアリング１が運転
によって内圧を高めた場合、該ベアリングシールＡが内
圧によって嵌合されていないリップ方から浮き上がり変
形しようとする。
このとき、第２図に示す様に、該ベアリングシールＡの
突起部６が前記環状溝４角部に接触する形状を持って配
設されているのでその変形を外側から直接阻止する構成
となり、歪変形しようとする弾性体２を捺し戻しその形
状を維持させる働きをなす。
［実施例］ 本考案を実施するに、前記突起部６の形状は、図面にも
示した様に、環状溝４の角部にぴったり密着する傾斜し
た環状面構造が密封性と接地性からみて好ましい構造と
なるが、これに拘るものでなく、例えば連続した凹凸形
状あるいわ複数の突条形状など様々なものが実施可能で
ある。
［考案の効果］ 本考案によって、内圧が生じてもベアリングシールＡの
持ち上がりＢを完全に防ぐと共に、その内圧自体を前記
優れた形状維持力で変形のないシールリップから外部に
放出する。この変形防止作用は当然ながらベアリングシ
ールＡの摺動トルクを変えずその密封力を変化させな
い。
さらに、該突起部６は嵌入の際、高まった剛性をもって
外周面５のガイドの役目を果たし前記環状溝４へ正確に
導いて装着不備を一掃する。また、嵌合されれば反対に
嵌合力を強めベアリング１からの脱落を防止する。

る。第３図は従来のベアリングシールを表した部分拡大

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】ベアリング１に挿入されその内部と外部と
    を密封する弾性体２と該弾性体２を補強する補強環３か
    らなったベアリングシールＡであって；前記ベアリング
    シールＡの外周面５の近傍の外側面へ前記外周面５より
    突出する突起部６を形成し、ベアリング外輪1aに設けた
    環状溝４に前記外周面５を圧接触せしめると共に、該環
    状溝４の外側溝角部及びその付近に前記突起部６を接触
    せしめることを特徴とするベアリングシール。
