Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 <産業上の利用分野> この発明はプラスチツクからなる二つのワー
ク、例えばシリコンオイルで回転が制動させるロ
ータを内蔵したオイル式回転ダンパーのケースと
蓋を超音波で溶着して固定とシールを同時に行う
改良された溶着方法に関する。つまり、精密部
品、薄肉物などウエルダー条件を強くできないも
のや、シール性を必要とする場合の溶着に特に有
利な方法である。
<従来の技術> 従来は第6図に示す様にケース20の側壁21
の上端部内周に段22を形成し、蓋23には上端
段22の内周に嵌合する嵌合部24の下端の回り
に斜面25を形成し、ウエルダーホーン26の下
面を蓋23に上から押し当てることにより上記斜
面25を側壁21の内周と段22が交わる角(か
ど)27に押付け、この部分を溶かして第7図に
示す様に溶着していた。
<発明が解決しようとする課題> 上記従来法ではウエルダーホーン26が蓋23
の上面に振動エネルギーを与え、その振動エネル
ギーが蓋を介して斜面25と角27の接触部に伝
わり、角27が溶けて蓋23とケース20の溶着
が行われる。
従つて、ホーン26の振動エネルギーが実際に
溶ける部分(角27)に直接伝わらないため、ウ
エルダー条件を強くする必要があるので他に悪影
響を及ぼす可能性がある。
更に、実際に溶けるのはケースの段22の角2
7であり、蓋の斜面25は溶ける量が少ないため
蓋とケースが完全に溶け合つていない部分が生
じ、シールが不完全となることもある。
<課題を解決するための手段> そこで本発明は、溶着すべき二つのプラスチツ
クからなるワークに相対面してほゞ同じ高さ突出
し、背面は互いに傾斜して高さ方向に肉厚が漸減
する突出壁を形成し、上記二つのワークの両突出
壁を対面させ、ウエルダーホーンには断面形状が
弧状の溝を設け、上記溝の上底部を対面した前記
両突出壁の上端に押付けて超音波による振動エネ
ルギーを与えることを特徴とする。
<作用> これによつて二つのワークの各突出壁の上端部
はホーンから直接加えられる超音波による振動エ
ネルギーで溶け、しかもホーンの溝の断面形状の
弧形と、両突出壁の背面の傾斜によつて各突出壁
は互いに相手の方向に寄せられ、溶けた部分は各
突出壁の背面側に拡がることができないので両突
出壁の対面した間〓に溶け合いながら流れ込み、
一体になつて固まり、溶着する。
<実施例> 図示の実施例はシリコンオイルなどのグリース
1と、上記グリース中で回転する回転2の制御板
3をケース4の収容部4′に収容し、回転子の軸
に伝えられる回転力で制動板3が回転するのをグ
リース1の粘性抵抗で制動するオイル式回転ダン
パーの上記プラスチツクで成形したケース1と蓋
5とを溶着する場合を示す。
ケース4は収容部4′の上に、収容部4′よりも
内径が大きい環状段部を有し、その内周に蓋5を
ピツタリと嵌合して受入れている。回転子2は制
動板3が回りから張出す軸6を有し、この軸の下
端は収容部の底の中心に位置決めされて当接し、
上端は蓋5の中心の円形開口を貫いて外に突出
し、ラツクや歯車と噛合う被動歯車を固定する。
蓋5の下面の周辺部は前述したケースの環状段
部の底に受止められる。
ケースの上面からは環状段部の内周から上に延
長した内周を有する環状突出壁7が突出し、蓋5
の上面からは蓋の外周が上に延長した外周を有す
る同様な近環状突出壁8が突出する。従つて、蓋
5をケースの環状部に嵌込むとケースの環状突出
壁7の内周と、蓋の環状突出壁8の外周は第2〜
4図に誇張して示した様な間〓9を保つて対面す
る。
各環状突出壁7,8の上端は同一レベルで、そ
の背面7′,8′は夫々傾斜し、これによつて各突
出壁の肉厚は上向きに減少する。
ケースと蓋を溶着するには、高周波発振器が接
合したウエルダーホーン11の下面に断面形状が
弧形の環状溝10を形成し、上記環状溝の上底部
10′を対面している両突出壁7,8に上から押
付け、超音波による振動エネルギーを加える。こ
れによつて先ず各突出壁7,8の上端部がホーン
から直接加えられる超音波の振動エネルギーで溶
融を始める(第2図参照)。その後、溶融が逐次
進行して両突出壁の高さは次第に低くなる。この
段階でホーンの環状溝10の弧形の断面形状と、
各突出壁の背面7′,8′の傾斜によつて各突出壁
は互いに相手の方向に寄せられるため溶けた部分
は各突出壁の背面側に拡がることができず、両突
出壁の対面した間〓9に溶け合いながら流れ込む
(第3図参照)。
そして両突出壁の高さが或る程度、低くなつた
らホーンを離し、溶融部分が固化するのを待ちケ
ースと蓋の間に一体となつた溶着部12を形成
し、ケースと蓋の間からグリースの洩れを防止す
ることができる。
尚、軸6を伝つてのグリースの洩れは、こゝで
は軸にOリング13を嵌め、蓋の開口の内周でO
リングを半径方向内向きに圧縮して防止する。
<発明の効果> 本発明では両方のワーク(ケースと蓋)の実際
に溶着する突出壁7と8の上端部がホーンに密着
し、超音波による振動エネルギーが直接伝わるた
め、弱いウエルダー条件でも、双方の突出壁の上
端部を同量宛溶融することができる。従つて、超
音波の振動エネルギーが他の部分に変質等の悪影
響を及ぼすことがないと共に、同量宛溶け合い、
一体となるため溶着むらは生ぜず、非常に強力で
且つ完全なシール効果を有する溶着が行える。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 溶着すべき二つのプラスチツクからなるワー
    クに相対面してほゞ同じ高さ突出し、背面は互い
    に傾斜して高さ方向に肉厚が漸減する突出壁を形
    成し、上記二つのワークの両突出壁を対面させ、
    ウエルダーホーンには断面形状が弧状の溝を設
    け、上記溝の上底部を対面した前記両突出壁の上
    端に押付けて超音波による振動エネルギーを与え
    ることを特徴とする溶着方法。
