Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the title semiconductor device having high reliability by a method wherein, even if a cracking is caused between a mold resin and the resin sealed part surface of an outer lead in the formation step of the outer lead, the advancing process of the cracking is stopped in a specific position. CONSTITUTION:The title semiconductor device is characterized by the formation of a protrusion 11 in a specific shape on the resin sealed part 9 surface of the semiconductor device sealed with a mold resin 2 so that a cracking 10 caused between the mold resin 9 and said resin sealed part 9 of the outer lead 1 may be stopped to stop the permeation of any water content thereby enabling said semiconductor device having high humidity resistance and reliability to be manufactured.
