Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 走査電極とデータ電極との直交箇所に接続され
    たドツト配列の画素がマトリツクス状に配置され
    た液晶パネルと、前記各画素毎に縦ストライブ配
    列された赤、緑、青の３原色のカラーフイルタと
    、映像信号に対応したデータ信号を前記データ電
    極へ供給するデータドライバと、走査信号を前記
    走査電極へ供給する走査ドライバとを備えた液晶
    表示装置において、 前記各画素は、縦横比が１：１のドツトを水平
    方向および垂直方向に各３ドツト配列してそれぞ
    れ構成すると共に、 前記各画素を前記赤、緑、青のカラーフイルタ
    付き３ドツトのサブ画素でそれぞれ３分割構成に
    し、 前記映像信号を複数ビツトの画素データに変換
    し、前記サブ画素に対してそれら画素データの内
    、特定ビツトを用いて階調レベル制御を行い、他
    のビツトを用いて輝度制御を行うサブ画素制御手
    段を設けたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
