Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は複合材料のストランドを面上に貼着し
て構造物を組み立てるヘツドを有する自動機械に
関する。
従来の技術 特に現在の科学技術機械は、複合材料のストラ
ンド、例えば捩らないカーボン繊維にエポキシ又
は熱可塑性樹脂を含浸させた材料のストランドを
布設、押圧するために開発されてきた。この型式
の機械はAVSD(改良可変ストランド配設)機と
称され、ストランドは貯留器内に収容し、平行に
所定間隔に押圧ローラーの下を通り、ローラーは
支持面上にストランドを押圧し、ストランドは平
になつて互に密接して部分構造物となる。次の処
理過程は圧縮モールドであり、構造物を成型圧縮
し、熱硬化性樹脂の場合は成形部品を受け取るた
めに圧力がま内で真空バツグを使用して硬化処理
が行われる。
発明によつて解決しようとする問題点 既知のヘツドは切断したストランドの処理が困
難である。切断したストランドは互に離れる傾向
があり、次の作業のため材料を布置するためには
ストランドを並べ直す必要がある。更に、材料を
押圧するために1個の押圧ローラーの使用では問
題点を生ずる。材料の別のプライを形成する際
に、組立てた材料は一部可撓性となつて押圧ロー
ラーに達する。押圧ローラーは曲つた組立て構造
の上に次のストランドを押圧する必要を生ずる。
更に、一部の既知の構造は、ストランド間隔規正
機構を押圧ユニツトから離れた位置とする。本発
明者は間隔規正機構は押圧ローラー及び部品面に
近くに置けば良い間隔規正となることを知つた。
問題点を解決するための手段 本発明によつてストランド布置面上を動く複合
材料のストランド配設ヘツドを提供する。ストラ
ンドは案内ローラーの下を通りローラーはストラ
ンドを分離制御する。予圧ローラーがストランド
をストランド布置面に押圧する。予圧ローラーの
下流の加熱源はストランドを加熱し、次の押圧ロ
ーラーは複合ストランドに最終押圧力を作用す
る。
作 用 本発明によるストランド貼着ヘツドは押圧ロー
ラーの上流に予圧ローラーを設ける。更に間隔規
正機構を予圧ローラーに近接して設け、上述の欠
点をなくする。
実施例 第1図は本発明を適用し得る基本ストランド配
設機10を示し、機械10には基礎部構造11上
の高い側路12を有し、頭上ブリツジ型支持装置
即ち二脚ガントリー13を支持する。ガントリー
13は横レール装置14を有しサドル15を支持
し、サドル15に各種複合材料ワークヘツド例え
ば図示のストランド貼着ヘツド16を取付ける。
ヘツド16は複合構造物例えば第1図に示すモー
ルド面17を構成するための面上に材料を布置す
る。
第2図は支持面20上に複合材料のストランド
19を配設するための既知のヘツド18を示す。
この構造は理解を容易にするために線図として示
したが、当業者にはローラー支持軸受、滑り軸受
等の詳細は容易に設計し得る。第2図において、
ヘツド18は第1図に示す機械のサドル15に支
持され、主支持フレーム21に取付けた回転ロー
ラー組立体22に複数の溝23を設けて図示しな
い貯留装置から受ける複合材料のストランド19
を所定の間隔とする。フレーム21には垂直可動
支持ロツド24を有し、フレーム21に対して相
対滑動可能に支承する。ロツド24の下端に押圧
ローラー25を取付け、部品面20上に布置した
ストランド上に押圧力を作用する。図示の例では
剥離紙26を供給リール27から供給し、押圧ロ
ーラーを廻つて巻取リール28に巻取り、ストラ
ンド19が押圧ローラー25に粘着するのを防
ぐ。加熱源29、例えば赤外線ランプを支持フレ
ーム21上に取付け、間隔規正ローラー組立体2
2と押圧ローラー25との間の点30でストラン
ドに熱を供給し、材料の軟化と密接を容易にす
る。所定の時間間隔で押圧ローラー25を部品面
20から上げるために支持ロツドを上方に引上げ
る。第1図に示す構造には切断装置は示さない
が、既知の装置は通常はストランド19を上流
側、即ち間隔規正ローラー組立体22より上方の
点で切断するための図示しない機構を有する。第
3図は複合材料のストランドの間隔規正のための
溝付ローラー22を示す。
第4図は本発明によるストランド貼着ヘツド3
1を示し、予圧作業を行なう。即ち、ヘツド31
のベースフレーム32は例えば空気圧シリンダ3
3等によつて垂直方向に支持サドル15に対して
可動とし、ベースフレーム32は間隔規正ローラ
ー34を押圧ローラー35の上流側下端に取付け
る。間隔規正ローラー34を部品面36に近接さ
せて押圧ローラー35の上流に取付けることによ
つて、部品面36上の材料の間隔規正は良くな
る。ベースフレーム32に取付け間隔規正ローラ
ー34の直後とした予圧ローラー37によつて、
複合ストランド19の圧縮の予圧を行ない、下流
の押圧ローラー35が最終圧縮を行なう。押圧ロ
ーラー35は垂直支持ロツジ38に支持され、複
合面36上に独立に押圧力を作用する。ベースフ
レーム32に取付けた2個の加熱源39,40の
中で、加熱源39は予圧ローラー37と下流押圧
ローラー35との間にあり、最終圧縮のために材
料を軟化する。予熱器40は間隔規正ローラー3
4の上流側とし、予圧ローラー37を通る前のス
トランド19を加熱する。予熱器40は部品面3
6も加熱することもでき、面36に対する加熱の
方向を点線で示す。第5図は部品面36附近の間
隔規正ローラー34を示す。
第6図は第4図に示すヘツド31の他の実施例
を示し、押圧ローラー35を垂直支持ロツジ38
に回転不能に取付ける。これによつて、ローラー
35はスキツドとして作用し、剥離紙41は紙供
給リール42からスキツド外径を廻つて紙巻取リ
ール43に入る。実験上、ローラーをスキツドと
すれば複合材料押圧のための良い結果を得る。
第7A〜7D図は他の実施例による予圧機能付
きストランド配設ヘツド44の作動シーケンスを
示す。第7A図に示すヘツド44は図示しない機
械のサドル15に取付けたベースフレーム45を
有する。ベースフレーム45に支持した垂直ロー
ラー支持ロツド46は垂直軸線に沿つて可動と
し、ロツド46の下端に間隔規正ローラー47を
支持する。予圧ローラー48は間隔規正ローラー
47に近接下流側に取付ける。ベースフレーム4
5に枢支した回動腕50に下流押圧ローラー49
を支持し、所定間隔で複合ストランド19に押圧
力を作用する。ベースフレーム45に取付けたヒ
ーター51例えば石英ランプは予圧ローラー48
と押圧ローラー49との間の点52を加熱する。
ベースフレーム45にクランプ部53、切断部5
4を設け、ベースフレーム45に対して固定とし
て複合材料より上方とし、押圧及び予圧ローラー
49,48の間であつてヒーター51の上流とす
る。第7B図は予圧ローラー48と間隔規正ロー
ラー47の上昇位置を示し、ストランド19は上
方に引上げられてクランプ部53に保持される。
第7C図は切断部54がストランド19を切断
し、ストランド19がクランプ部53に保持され
ることを示す。この時に垂直支持ロツド46を下
げ、ストランド19と予圧ローラー48を作動面
19に押圧する。この時はクランプ部53は解放
位置とし、ストランド19を解放してストランド
配設ヘツド44の作動再開とする。
第8A〜8D図は第7A図のクランプ部53を
示し、ハウジング部55が2個の滑動ブロツク5
6,57を支持する。ブロツク56,57は互に
対向してばね58,59の力を受ける。第8B図
に示す通り、ブロツク56,57は夫々対向部に
斜面部60,61を有し、複合ストランド19が
ブロツク56,57に向けて上方に引かれた時に
斜面部60,61の形成するV型内に入りばね5
8,59の力に抗して上方に引かれ、ブロツク5
6,57を後退させて第8C図のストランド位置
とする。クランプ部53には爪62が枢支ピン6
3に回動可能に支持され、ばね64によつてスト
ランド19の受入位置に押圧される。爪62の下
面に細かい歯65を下向きにブロツク56,57
に向けて形成する。爪の歯65のストランド面に
対する摩擦係合によつて、ストランド19の後退
運動はピン63を中心とする回動運動と押圧ばね
64の力とによつて爪62をストランド面に強く
押圧してストランドの後退を防ぐ。反対運動腕6
6が爪62より後方に延長し、ソレノイドプラン
ジヤ等による第8D図の大きな矢印で示す力が選
択的に作用すれば、爪62をばね64の力に抗し
て回動させて爪62のストランド19に対する把
持を解放する。切断部54は図のクランプ部53
の下流側に取付け、ストランド19を第8D図に
示す通りに切断する。切断されたストランドは図
の右方に引かれるのを防がれる。実験上、ストラ
ンド19の引張強度は最大500lbs(約230Kg)であ
る。ストランド布置を再開する時は、予圧ローラ
ー48を第7D図に示す通りにストランド19に
押圧し、爪62を第8D図に示す反対向きの力に
よつて解放する。
第9図は切断部54の側面図であり、カツタブ
レード67,68を互に隣接させ、図示しないカ
ツタ支持ハウジング内を滑動可能とする。第10
図に示す通り、カツタブレード67,68は櫛状
であり、一方を固定、他方を相対可動とし、往復
動シヤーの型式とする。ストランド19が広い又
は狭い間隔であつても櫛の歯内に入つて切断され
る。
本発明を好適な実施例について説明したが本発
明は種々の変型が可能であり、実施例並びに図面
は発明を限定するものではない。
発明の効果 本発明によつて押圧ローラーの上流に予圧ロー
ラーを設け、間隔規正ローラーを予圧ローラーに
近接させ、間隔規正後にストランドが横に変位す
るのを防ぐ。
更に本発明によるストランドクランプ及び切断
機構は予圧ローラーの下流側とし、ストランド布
置過程の再始動は著しく容易になる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1 基礎部と、前記基礎部に形成された案内部に
    沿つて移動可能なヘツド搬送体と、ストランド供
    給源と、及び前記ヘツド搬送体に支持されて搬送
    されるストランド貼着ヘツドとを有する、複合材
    料のストランドを貼着する装置において、前記ス
    トランド貼着ヘツドが、 (a) ストランドの貼着面に対して移動可能な支持
    フレームと、 (b) 前記支持フレームに支持され、複数の前記ス
    トランドの間隔を制御するためのガイドローラ
    ーと、 (c) 前記ガイドローラーの下流側に配設され、前
    記支持フレームに対して可動にされた予圧ロー
    ラーと、 (d) 前記予圧ローラーを前記ストランド貼着面に
    対して押圧する手段と、 (e) 前記予圧ローラーの下流側に配設され、前記
    支持フレームに対して可動にされた押圧ローラ
    ーと、 (f) 前記押圧ローラーを前記ストランド貼着面に
    押圧する手段と、 (g) 前記予圧ローラーと押圧ローラーとの間に配
    設された加熱源とを備え、 前記ストランドがガイドローラーによつて案内
    され、前記予圧ローラーによつてストランド貼着
    面に圧着され、且つ、前記ストランドが加熱源に
    よつて加熱された後、前記ヘツドが前記ストラン
    ド貼着面を横断するとき、前記押圧ローラーによ
    つて最後の押圧作用を受けるように構成されたス
    トランド貼着装置。
