The dyeing layer 2 is made of a dyeable resin such as gelatin or acrylic resin. A transparent protective film 3 is placed on top of this dyed layer 2.
is coated. This protective film 3 is made of a different type of resin from that of the dyed layer 2, since if it is the same dyeable resin as the dyed layer 2, it will be colored or mixed due to dye migration.

問題点があつた。(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In the above-mentioned conventional technology, since the dyed layer and the protective film are made of different materials, they tend to be distorted due to the difference in expansion coefficient due to temperature, and the adhesion is not necessarily good, resulting in peeling. Furthermore, there was a problem that the transmittance decreased depending on the difference in the refractive index of light.

A photoresist 6 is applied thereon and exposed to ultraviolet light using a predetermined mask 7 (FIG. 3). After development, the exposed portion of the film agent 5 is dyed with an acid dye in a predetermined color, for example, red R (fourth step).
figure). Thereafter, photoresist application, partial exposure, development and dyeing are repeated in the same manner, and the film material 5 is dyed in a mosaic with the red R, green G, and blue B to form a dyed layer 8 (FIG. 5). On top of this, the same ultraviolet curable acrylic resin as the film material 5 was applied as a protective film 9, and after drying, the entire surface was irradiated with ultraviolet rays to crosslink and cure the protective film (FIG. 1). In the color filter 10 made in this manner, the protective film 9 is hardened and becomes difficult to be stained with acid dye, and there is almost no color bleeding or color mixing.

A dyed layer was formed, and the same gelatin as the above film agent was applied thereon and dried.

Also, migration is less likely to occur, so
No color bleeding or color mixing. Also, the light transmittance can be increased.
