Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the mixing of colors by setting a film forming agent applied to a substrate to such a degree that it is not well cross-linked, setting the boundary parts between parts to be pattern-wise dyed with dyes having different colors, and carrying out pattern-wise dyeing. CONSTITUTION:A dyeable resin contg. a photosensitive substance is applied to a transparent substrate 1 as a film forming agent 2 and set by exposure to ultraviolet rays or baking to such a degree that the agent 2 is not well cross-linked. Only the boundary parts 4 between parts to be patternwise dyed with dyes having different colors are exposed to ultraviolet rays through a mask 3 until the parts 4 are well cross-linked and set. A positive type photoresist 5 is then applied, exposed through a mask 6, and developed. Parts of the agent 2 not covered with the photoresist 5 are dyed red R, and the agent 2 are partially dyed green G and blue B in the same way in succession. The remaining photoresists are removed, and a color filter having three colors is obtd.

ト5を塗布し、マスク6を用いて部分露光させ(第4図
)、現象してレジスト5が除去された部分に所定の色、
たとえば赤色Rを染色する(第5図)。この上にさらに
フォトレジストを塗布し、マスクを用いて部分露光させ
て、現象してつぎの色、たとえば緑色Gを染色する。さ
らに同様の工程をくり返して青色Bを染色し、最後にレ
ジストを剥離して、赤色R1緑色G、肯色Bの三色によ
るカラーフィルタ(第1図)を得る。
