Claims (1)
- 回転軸に固定した回転リングと、該回転軸を囲
繞するケーシングに取付けらればねにより前記回
転リングに向つて押付けられる固定リングとで軸
封面を形成して高圧室と低圧室との間をシールし
、前記固定リングの軸封面には環状溝を設けてい
るとともに、この環状溝を前記高圧室に連通する
連通孔を固定リングの円周方向に複数個設けてな
るメカニカルシールにおいて、前記固定リングの
軸封面における環状溝で区画さえた半径方向外側
の高圧側部分に相対する前記回転リングの軸封面
の部分に、回転軸の回転により前記固定リングの
環状溝内の流体を前記高圧室側方向へ移送するら
せん溝を円周方向に複数個設け、かつ前記固定リ
ングの少なくとも軸封面を回転リングの軸封面よ
りも材料硬度の低い材料で形成したことを特徴と
するメカニカルシール。
