Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 一方向に周動し表面に複数のトナー像が順次形
    成される像担持体、該像担持体に沿いその上に形
    成されたトナー像を転写紙に転写させる転写手段
    、該転写手段による転写位置で上記像担持体に接
    離可能で、転写紙を担持し往復動可能な無端ベル
    ト状転写紙搬送手段を有し、上記転写紙搬送手段
    を所要回数往復動させ、その往動時にこれを上記
    像担持体に接触させてその上に担持する転写紙に
    像担持体上に順次形成されたトナー像を１往動に
    対して１つずつ転写し、１つのトナー像の転写終
    了後転写紙搬送手段を像担持体から離間させ、復
    動させて転写紙を待機位置に戻し、同一転写紙に
    複数のトナー像を重ね合せ転写し、往動時の転写
    紙先端領域、復動時の転写紙後端領域の両方又は
    いずれか一方が転写紙搬送手段から分離して転写
    紙が往復搬送される画像形成装置の転写装置にお
    いて、 往復開始時の転写紙先端位置と転写位置との間
    の距離をｌ１、転写終了後往動停止時の転写紙後
    端位置と転写位置との間の距離をｌ２、本画像形
    成装置で使用しうる最大サイズの転写紙の長さを
    ｌｐ（ｍａｘ）とした時、前記転写紙搬送手段の
    周長が ｌ１＋ｌ２＋２ｌｐ（ｍａｘ） よりも大きく、上記の転写紙搬送手段面上の転
    写紙先端に対応する位置が、転写終了後往動停止
    時に該転写紙搬送手段の周動経路上に占める位置
    をＡ点とし、転写紙搬送手段面上の転写紙後端に
    対応する位置が復動停止時に転写紙搬送手段の周
    動経路上に占める位置をＢ点としたとき、転写紙
    搬送手段表面に接する部材の接触位置を該転写紙
    搬送手段の往動方向に関して上記Ａ点より上流側
    でＢ点より下流側にしたことを特徴とする転写装
    置。
