However, it has the disadvantage that it misses them and cannot fully detect them.

In step 11, a stop signal is sent from the main device 1 to the standby backup device 2, and in step 21, the normality check program running in the standby backup device 1 is stopped. When the program is stopped, the standby spare device writes the running state of the normality check program in the main storage device of the main device 1 and the standby spare device 2 in step 22. When the writing is completed, the standby spare device 2 sends a signal to the main device 1 in step 23 and resumes running the self-diagnosis program in step 24. When the main device 1 receives the signal, in step 12 it reads out the previously written running state of the standby spare device 2 from the main memory, and in step 13 it determines whether it is normal. If normal, normal termination processing is performed in step 14, and if abnormal, abnormal termination processing is performed in step 15.

効果がある。As explained above, the present invention allows the main device to make an inquiry to the standby backup device and have the standby backup device report to the main device, thereby ensuring that even if there is a failure but no report is received, the standby backup device can be used more reliably than the conventional method. This has the effect of detecting equipment failure.
