Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent stiffening of a felt core and blurring of written letters by mixing a marking ink obtd. by dissolving an oil-soluble dye and a coating film-forming resin in an org solvent with a solvent having a higher b.p. than that of said org. solvent and a high solvency for said dye and said resin. CONSTITUTION:A marking ink comprising an oil-soluble dye, a coating film- forming resin and an org. solvent (e.g. a marking ink obtd. by dissolving Oil Red BO, i.e., a red oil-soluble dye, and a rosin-modified phenolic resin in xylene) is mixed with a solvent having a higher b.p. than said org. solvent and a high solvency for said dye and said resin (e.g. dibutyl phthalate) to prevent stiffening of a felt core and blurring of written letters.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] When a marker using a felt core is left for a while with the cap removed, as the solvent evaporates on the surface of the felt core, oil-soluble dyes and! ! The IPIA resin is analyzed and solidified, blocking the capillary tubes of the felt core, which prevents the ink inside from smoothly transferring to the felt core surface, causing blurring when applied to objects, which gradually worsens and eventually ends. had the disadvantage that it could not be applied at all.

The present invention prevents the capillaries of the felt core from clogging even when the cap is removed, and has a higher boiling point than the solvent used to eliminate blurring, so oil-soluble dyes and resins do not precipitate and solidify on the surface of the felt core. By adding a solvent, the above precipitation occurs on the core surface.

The solvent to be added is preferably one that has good compatibility with the resin for coating film formation and does not precipitate or solidify even if the dye and resin are in high concentrations. The solvent to be added can be selected appropriately depending on the type of oil-soluble dye used. In other words, it is desirable to have excellent solubility in various oil-soluble dyes and resins, and especially those with high compatibility that will not precipitate or solidify dyes and resins at any ratio.Resins include natural resins such as dewaxed Dammar, ester gum, etc. Solid synthesis of modified processing resins such as vinyl acetate etc. 41 Lf
The solvent to be added must have a boiling point of 150°C or above, dissolve in any proportion with the solvent used in the marking ink, and be compatible with oil-soluble dyes and especially resins. It is commonly used that is compatible with the resin that forms the coating film in any proportion, and when added in small amounts it helps soften the resin, like a plasticizer, and becomes paste-like or liquid-like as the amount added increases.

With conventional marking ink, the ink migrates from the bottom of the felt core to the surface of the felt core through a capillary tube, and as the solvent evaporates, the dye and resin become concentrated, the dye exceeds the dissolved carbon and precipitates, and the viscosity of ma increases and finally solidifies. By doing so, the capillary tubes of the felt are blocked and ink transfer is prevented, resulting in the phenomenon of blurring. When the above-mentioned high boiling point solvent is added to this ink, the added solvent remains after the solvent in the ink evaporates, causing precipitation of dyes and resins, [2i! Since no oxidation occurs, no smudging occurs during application.

Also, if the amount of solvent added is too large, the marking ink will become non-drying and will cause stickiness, and even if it is too small, it will not be effective. It is necessary to decide the type and addition ratio. Examples of solvents include 1, for example, tetralin (boiling point 205-215°C), decalin (boiling point 18
0 to 190℃), higher alcohols such as benzyl alcohol (boiling point 205℃), and plasticizers such as DBP (boiling point 340℃), DMP (boiling point 282℃), DHP (boiling point 290℃), and DOP. Demethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)
Throat and autospecial sores are also used.
