Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明は、光受信器の符号誤り警報回路に関し、特に受
光素子としてAPD (アバランシェフォトダイオード
)を使用している光受信器の光受信レベルの変動による
符号誤り警報回路に関する。
(従来の技術及びその問題点) 従来、この種の符号誤り警報回路は、光伝送符号の符号
則の乱れや冗長化符号を監視することにより、符号誤り
を検出し、警報を発生していた。
ところが、符号則の乱れや冗長化符号を監視して符号誤
りを検出するには規模の大きい回路を必要とするという
問題点があった。
本発明の目的は、小さい回路規模で符号誤りを検出でき
る符号誤り警報回路の提供にある。
(問題点を解決するための手段) 前述の問題点を解決するために本発明が提供する手段は
、光信号をアバランシェフォトダイオードで電気信号に
変換し、その電気信号を増幅して第1の符号識別器に供
給し、前記光信号に含まれている符号をその第1の符号
識別器で再生し、前記増幅器の出力レベルを前記アバラ
ンシェフォトダイオードに負帰還して前記第1の符号識
別器を入力レベルを安定化する光受信器の符号誤り警報
回路であって、 前記増幅器に出力を受けて前記光信号に含まれる符号を
それぞれ再生する第2及び第3の符号識別器と、前記第
1、第2及び第3の符号識別器で再生された前記符号が
互いに一致しないときに警報を発生する手段とを備え、 前記第1の符号識別器で符号の再生が誤りなくできる前
記光信号のレベルの最大値および最小値で符号誤りを生
じる大きさに、前記第2及び第3の符号識別器の符号識
別量値がそれぞれ設定してあることを特徴とする。
(実施例) 次に本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第1図は本発明の一実施例の符号誤り警報回路13を備
える光受信器のブロック図である。APD2は、光フア
イバケーブル1から伝送された光信号を電気信号に変換
する。増幅器3はその電気信号を増幅する。識別器4は
増幅器3の出力の電気信号に含まれる符号を再生する。
この識別器4の識別レベルはXtkに調整されている。
同様に増幅器3の出力信号は識別レベルがX、4及びX
、で調整された識別器6及び7にそれぞれ加えられ、符
号が再生される。識別器4,6.7で再生される符号は
論理値“1″又は“0”を表わしている。
また識別器4.6.7の入力信号の振幅を常に一定に保
つため増幅器3の出力信号の一部は自動利得制御器5で
検出され、この自動利得制御器5の発生する制御電圧に
より、増幅器3の利得及びAPD2の増倍率を制御する
。比較器8は、識別器4.6.7で再生された符号を互
いに比較し、3個の再生符号が一致しない場合は警報器
9に警報信号を送出する。
ここで、識別器の最適識別レベルは増幅器3の基本雑音
とAPD2の光電変換におけるショット雑音に依存し、
また基本雑音及びショット雑音は増幅器3の利得及びA
PD2の増倍率によりそれぞれ変化するから、光受信器
の光受信レベルにより最適識別判定値のレベルは異なる
識別器4の識別レベルX t bは標準光受信レベルで
調整されているから、識別器4で符号誤りを発生しない
で識別再生ができる光受信レベルの最大及び最小の受信
レベルが定まる。Ii別器6の識別レベルX11は最大
光受信レベル付近で符号誤りを発生するように、また識
別器7のレベルXLは最小光受信レベル付近で符号誤り
を発生するようにそれぞれ調整されている。
したがって、光受信レベルの最大および最小付近では、
識別器4,6.7で再生された信号の符号は一致しない
から、比較器8で警報信号を生成し、警報器9から警報
を発生することが出来る。
(発明の効果) 以上に説明したように本発明符号誤り警報回路は、光受
信器の最大光受信レベル及び最小光受信レベル付近に於
いてそれぞれ符号誤りを発生するように調整された識別
器により、光受信レベルの変動による符号誤りを警報で
きる。また、本発明の符号誤り警報回路では、警報が発
生する光受信レベルが任意に識別レベルを調整すること
により簡単に設定でき、光受信レベルの変動による符号
誤りを未然にかつ経済的に防止できる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】  光信号をアバランシェフォトダイオードで電気信号に
    変換し、その電気信号を増幅して第1の符号識別器に供
    給し、前記光信号に含まれている符号をその第1の符号
    識別器で再生し、前記増幅器の出力レベルを前記アバラ
    ンシェフォトダイオードに負帰還して前記第1の符号識
    別器の入力レベルを安定化する光受信器の符号誤り警報
    回路において、 前記増幅器の出力を受けて前記光信号に含まれる符号を
    それぞれ再生する第2及び第3の符号識別器と、前記第
    1、第2及び第3の符号識別器で再生された前記符号が
    互いに一致しないときに警報を発生する手段とを備え、 前記第1の符号識別器で符号の再生が誤りなくできる前
    記光信号のレベルの最大値および最小値で符号誤りを生
    じる大きさに、前記第2及び第3の符号識別器の符号識
