Description
1-1.ハブベアリング
図1は、第1実施形態に係るハブベアリング100を示す部分断面図である。なお、以下では、任意の地点から図中の上方に向かう方向を「X1方向」といい、任意の地点から図中の下方に向かう方向を「X2方向」という。また、本開示の用途は図1に示すハブベアリング100に限定されず、他のハブベアリングにも本開示は適用可能である。ハブベアリング100は、玉軸受であるが、本開示の用途は玉軸受には限定されず、ころ軸受および針軸受等の他の種類ハブベアリングにも適用可能である。また、図1に示すハブベアリング100は自動車に用いられるが、本開示を備えるハブベアリングは、自動車以外の機械にも適用可能である。
シール部材2は、外輪13に固定され、ハブ11の内周面111に対して摺動する。
図3に示すように、第1リップ41、第2リップ42および第3リップ43には、グリスが塗布されている。なお、第4リップ44にも、グリスは適宜塗布してもよい。ただし、第4リップ44をラビリンスシールとして用いる場合にはグリスは塗布されない。各リップにグリスが塗布されていることで、グリスを用いない場合に比べ、各リップの密封性、摺動性および耐久性を向上させることができる。
以下、本開示の第2実施形態について説明する。以下に例示する形態において作用または機能が第1実施形態と同様である要素については、各々の詳細な説明を適宜に省略する。

前述の各実施形態は、例えば、以下に述べる各種の変形が可能である。また、各変形例を適宜組み合わせてもよい。
図10は、第1変形例のシール部材2Aを示す図である。前述の実施形態では、本開示の「密封装置」の一例としてアウトサイド側に位置するシール部材2について説明したが、本開示は、インサイド側に位置するシール部材に適用されてもよい。
図11は、第2変形例のシール部材2Bを示す図である。前述の実施形態では、シール部材2は、「外側部材」の例示である外輪13に固定されていたが、本開示は、「内側部材」に固定されてもよい。
「密封装置」の構造は、前述の第1実施形態、第1変形例および第2変形例に示す構造以外の構造でもよい。例えば、第1実施形態では、シール部材2は、第4リップ44を有するが、第4リップ44は省略されてもよい。また例えば、シール部材2が有する本体部3の円筒部31は、外輪13の端部132よりも半径方向の外側に位置するが、円筒部31は、端部132よりも半径方向の内側に位置してもよい。
Claims (7)
- ハブベアリングの相対的に回転する内側部材と外側部材との間の環状の隙間を封止する密封装置であって、
本体部と、
前記本体部から突出する第1リップと、
前記本体部から突出し、前記第1リップよりも前記第1リップの半径方向の内側に位置する第2リップと、を備え、
前記第1リップおよび前記第2リップは、前記本体部から前記内側部材または前記外側部材の一方に向かって延びており、
前記第1リップの表面に塗布された第1グリスと、
前記第2リップの表面に塗布された第2グリスと、をさらに備え、
前記第1グリスの特性と、前記第2グリスの特性とは、互いに異なり、
前記第2グリスに含まれる増ちょう剤の含有率は、前記第1グリスに含まれる増ちょう剤の含有率よりも少ない、
ことを特徴とする密封装置。 - 前記第1グリスのJISK2220:2013に規定されたちょう度番号と、前記第2グリスのJISK2220:2013に規定されたちょう度番号とは、互いに異なる、
