Description
ここで本発明の実施形態を、以下の添付図面を参照しながら、例証としてのみであるが説明する。
ヒーターの発熱体および電気接点を形成するために、Epoxy Technology Inc. of Billerica Montana USAで入手可能なEpoTek (RTM) H20E、銀が付加されたエポキシ導電性接着剤を、Sterlitech Corporation of Kent Washington USAで入手可能なSterlitech GB140、ガラスファイバー毛細管材料で形成される毛細管本体上にニードルチップにより手動で分散した。ヒーターを測定するため、3秒間ヒーターに電流を入れるためにAgilent N6705Bプログラム可能な電源を使用した。電流が、4.3Wの電力を用いて3.55Vの電圧で供給された。試験手順の間、毛細管本体の外側表面の温度を記録するために赤外線カメラを使用した。
ヒーターの発熱体および電気接点を形成するために、Epoxy Technology Inc. of Billerica Montana USAで入手可能なEpoTek (RTM) H20E、銀が付加されたエポキシ導電性接着剤を、20ミクロンの空孔サイズおよび40~45パーセントの空隙率を有する多孔性セラミック毛細管材料で形成される毛細管本体上にニードルチップにより手動で分散した。ヒーターを測定するため、3秒間ヒーターに電流を入れるためにAgilent N6705Bプログラム可能な電源を使用した。電流が、4.3Wの電力を用いて3.55Vの電圧で供給された。ヒーター抵抗は2.3オームと測定された。試験手順の間、毛細管本体の外側表面の温度を記録するために赤外線カメラを使用し、最高温度は185℃であることが分かった。
Claims (16)
- エアロゾル発生システム用のカートリッジであって、前記カートリッジが、
液体エアロゾル形成基体を保持するように構成された液体貯蔵部分と、
ヒーター組立品とを備え、前記ヒーター組立品が、
エアロゾルを形成するために前記液体エアロゾル形成基体を加熱するように構成された電気発熱体と、
前記電気発熱体へ前記液体エアロゾル形成基体を運ぶように構成された毛細管本体とを備え、
前記電気発熱体が、前記毛細管本体の多孔性端面に配置され、
前記ヒーター組立品が、前記電気発熱体に接続された電気接点をさらに備え、各電気接点が、前記電気発熱体が前記電気接点間に延びてこれらの間に電気的接続を形成するように、前記多孔性端面の反対側に配置される、カートリッジ。 - 前記電気発熱体が、前記毛細管本体の前記多孔性端面に沿って配置される、請求項1に記載のカートリッジ。

- 前記毛細管本体が、前記液体貯蔵部分内の液体に接触するように構成された第一の端、および前記第一の端と対向する第二の端を含み、
前記電気発熱体が、前記毛細管本体の前記第二の端に配置される、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記液体貯蔵部分が、前記ヒーター組立品の第一の側に配置され、前記ヒーター組立品の前記第一の側に対して反対側に、前記電気発熱体に隣接して、前記電気発熱体を通過して延びる気流経路を画定する気流チャネルが配置されて、前記エアロゾルを運ぶように構成される、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載のカートリッジ。
- ユーザーにエアロゾルを送達するように構成された少なくとも1つの空気吸込み口および出口を有するマウスピース部分をさらに備え、
前記カートリッジの長手方向軸に対して平行な方向における前記少なくとも1つの空気吸込み口と前記出口との間の距離が、前記カートリッジの長手方向軸に対して平行な方向における前記電気発熱体と前記出口との間の距離より小さい、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載のカートリッジ。 - 前記カートリッジが、複数の空気吸込み口および単一の出口をさらに備える、請求項10に記載のカートリッジ。
- エアロゾル発生システムであって、
エアロゾル発生装置と、
カートリッジとを備え、前記カートリッジが、
液体エアロゾル形成基体を保持するように構成された液体貯蔵部分と、
ヒーター組立品とを備え、前記ヒーター組立品が、
エアロゾルを形成するために前記液体エアロゾル形成基体を加熱するように構成された電気発熱体と、
前記電気発熱体へ前記液体エアロゾル形成基体を運ぶように構成された毛細管本体とを備え、
前記電気発熱体が、前記毛細管本体の多孔性端面に配置され、
前記カートリッジが、前記エアロゾル発生装置に取り外し可能なように結合され、
前記エアロゾル発生装置が、前記ヒーター組立品のための電源を含み、
前記ヒーター組立品が、前記電気発熱体に接続された電気接点をさらに備え、各電気接点が、前記電気発熱体が前記電気接点間に延びてこれらの間に電気的接続を形成するように、前記多孔性端面の反対側に配置される、エアロゾル発生システム。 - 前記電気発熱体が、前記多孔性端面に沿って曲線形状または蛇行形状に延びる、請求項12に記載のエアロゾル発生システム。
- 前記電気発熱体が、少なくとも部分的に前記多孔性端面内に延びる、請求項12又は13に記載のエアロゾル発生システム。
- エアロゾル発生システム用のカートリッジの製造方法であって、前記方法が、
液体エアロゾル形成基体を保持するための液体貯蔵部分を提供する工程と、
多孔性端面を有する毛細管本体および電気発熱体を備えたヒーター組立品を形成する工程であって、前記電気発熱体が、前記毛細管本体の前記多孔性端面に配置され、前記ヒーター組立品が、前記電気発熱体に接続された電気接点をさらに備え、各電気接点が、前記電気発熱体が前記電気接点間に延びてこれらの間に電気的接続を形成するように、前記多孔性端面の反対側に配置される、工程と、
前記液体貯蔵部分を液体エアロゾル形成基体で充填する工程と、
前記液体貯蔵部分に含まれる前記液体エアロゾル形成基体が前記毛細管本体を介して前記電気発熱体に運ばれることを可能にするように、前記液体貯蔵部分を前記ヒーター組立品の第一の側に接続する工程とを含む、方法。 - 前記ヒーター組立品を形成する前記工程が、前記電気発熱体を少なくとも部分的に前記多孔性端面内に延びるように配置する工程を含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
