Description
特に具体的に定義されていない限り、本明細書で使用される全ての技術および科学用語は当業者(例えば材料科学および化学)によって一般に理解される意味と同じ意味を有するものとみなす。
以下の方法に従ってマイクロエマルション試料を調製した。
グラッシーカーボン作用電極、白金対電極およびAg/AgCl参照電極を用いるMetrohm Autolab PGSTAT302ポテンショスタットを用いて、各試料のサイクリックボルタンメトリー分析を行った。100mV/sの走査速度を使用した。
ECTestr11(Eutech Instruments社)導電率計を用いて全ての試料の導電率試験を行った。Enviroquip導電率較正標準(25℃で1413μS/cm)を用いて当該装置を較正した後に測定を行った。各マイクロエマルション試料の導電率測定値は表1に示されている。
各マイクロエマルション試料のためにフェロセンの量を測り、水不混和性相成分の中に溶解して油相において100mM濃度を達成した後に、実施例1に係るマイクロエマルションを調製した。
実施例1のマイクロエマルション電解質組成物を含む電池を周囲条件下で卓上で調製した。Whatman(商標)ガラス極小繊維フィルターをセパレーターとして使用した。当該セルは、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)体および当該セルを一緒に挟む鋼製集電装置を用いて作製した。0.1mL~0.2mLの本電解質組成物を各セルに追加した後に最後の層を追加した。
・水相が0.5moldm-3のMgSO4であるME1
・水相が0.1moldm-3のNaClであるME2
・水相が0.1moldm-3のLiClであるME2
・水相が0.1moldm-3のAlCl3であるME2
を含む電池電解質を調製した。
本明細書に記載されているマイクロエマルション電解質組成物の有効性を、実験室規模の従来のフロー電池アセンブリを用いたレドックスフロー電池系において調べた。
本明細書に記載されているマイクロエマルション電解質組成物の有効性をイオンセル系において調べた。本明細書に記載されている電解質、アノード、カソード、ポリエーテルエーテルケトン(PEEK)体、グラッシーカーボン集電装置およびガラス極小繊維セパレーターを備えたSwagelokセルの中にイオン電池を構築した。
図30~図42はセル1~5の充電-放電挙動を示す。セル1~3、5~6は50mA/gの電流密度においてNeware電池分析装置BTS3000で試験した。セル4は10mA/gの電流密度において試験した。セルは0V~約2.0V(正確な上限カットオフ範囲はセルに応じて1.9V~2.2Vであった)で、100mA/gの一定の充電および放電電流で動作させた。全ての実験を室温で行った。
セル4(ME14中に1.0mol/kgのLiCl)およびセル6(ME14対照)のサイクリックボルタンメトリー分析(Ag/AgCl参照電極)をMetrohm Autolab PGSTAT302ポテンショスタットを用いてを行った。100mV/sの走査速度を使用した。ボルタモグラムは図43~図45に示されている。
本明細書に記載されているマイクロエマルション電解質組成物を含むスーパーキャパシタを構築して分析した。
Claims (44)
- 電解質組成物を含む電気的に再充電可能な電気化学エネルギー蓄積装置であって、
前記電解質組成物はマイクロエマルションを含み、
前記マイクロエマルションは水相および水不混和性相を含み、
前記マイクロエマルションは、前記マイクロエマルションの1重量%~99重量%の水を含む、
装置。 - 前記水相は連続相である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記水不混和性相は分散相である、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記マイクロエマルションは両連続相マイクロエマルションである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記マイクロエマルションは溶解塩をさらに含む、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記溶解塩は、リチウム塩、ナトリウム塩、カリウム塩、マグネシウム塩、カルシウム塩およびアルミニウム塩からなる群から選択される、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記溶解塩の濃度は0.001mol/kg~10mol/kgである、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記マイクロエマルションは1種以上の酸化還元活性有機種をさらに含む、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記酸化還元活性有機種は前記水不混和性相または前記水相に溶解されている、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記酸化還元活性有機種は前記水不混和性相に溶解されている、請求項8または9に記載の装置。
- 前記水不混和性相は有機溶媒を含む、請求項1~10のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記有機溶媒は、脂肪族溶媒、芳香族溶媒、ハロゲン化溶媒、水不混和性のケトン溶媒、水不混和性のエステル溶媒またはそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記マイクロエマルションは界面活性剤、補助界面活性剤および/または共溶媒をさらに含む、請求項1~12のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- アノード電極およびカソード電極および任意で集電装置をさらに備え、前記アノード電極、前記カソード電極および前記集電装置のうちの1つ以上の表面の少なくとも一部は疎水性である、請求項1~13のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記アノード電極、前記カソード電極および前記集電装置のうちの1つ以上の前記表面の前記一部は非金属であるか導電性カーボンまたは導電性ポリマーである、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記カソード電極と前記アノード電極との間に位置するイオン透過性セパレーターをさらに備える、請求項14または15に記載の装置。
- 1.23V超のセル電圧を有する、請求項1~16のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記マイクロエマルションは、前記マイクロエマルションの10重量%~99重量%の水を含む、請求項1~17のいずれか1項に記載の装置。

- 電気的に再充電可能な電気化学エネルギー蓄積装置を使用するための方法であって、前記電気的に再充電可能な電気化学エネルギー蓄積装置を負荷に接続して電荷を前記負荷に供給する工程を含み、前記装置は電解質組成物を備え、前記電解質組成物はマイクロエマルションを含み、前記マイクロエマルションは水相および水不混和性相を含み、前記マイクロエマルションは、前記マイクロエマルションの1重量%~99重量%の水を含む、方法。
