Description
元素周期表へのいかなる参照も、CRC Press,Inc.によって1990~1991に発行されたときのものである。この表の元素の族についての言及は、族に番号を付けるための新たな表記法によるものである。
酸価(または酸性度指数)は、ASTM D 1386/7に従って測定する。酸価は、成分または組成物中に存在するカルボン酸の量の尺度である。酸価は、物質(例えば、ポリオール)1グラム中に存在する遊離カルボン酸の中和に必要とされる水酸化カリウムのミリグラム数である。酸価の単位は、mg KOH/gである。
重量平均分子量(Mw)および数平均分子量(Mn)は、ゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)システムを使用して測定される。
結合強度は、90度ハンドアシストT型剥離試験に従って測定される。最初のT型剥離結合強度試験のために、50℃のオーブンで2日間硬化させた後、ラミネートを幅2.54cmのストリップに切断する。50Nのロードセルを備えたThwing Albert(商標)QC-3A剥離試験機を10インチ/分の速度で動作させる。試験中、ストリップの尾部を指で少し引っ張り、尾部が剥離方向に対して90度の向きに維持されていることを確認する。平均結合強度(2.54cmあたりのニュートン(N/2.54cm))は、力対距離のプロファイルから決定される。3つのサンプルを試験し、平均の「結合強度」を報告する。
23cm×30.5cmのラミネートを折り重ねて、23cm×15.3cmの構造を提供し、この構造は、第1の側面および第2の側面を有する。第1の側面および第2の側面は各々、同じラミネートから形成される。第1の側面の第2の基材(LDPEフィルムまたはキャストポリプロピレンフィルム)は、第2の側面の第2の基材(LDPEフィルムまたはキャストポリプロピレンフィルム)に接触している。上記構造は、1つの折り重なった縁部と3つの開放された縁部を含む4つの縁部を持つ。縁部は、裁紙機で切り取られ、12.7cmx17.8cmの折り重なった構造になる。開いた縁部のうちの2つをヒートシールして、パウチを形成する。ヒートシールは、177℃、1秒間、油圧276kPaで行われる。各例から4~6個のパウチが作られる。
2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物は、(A)イソシアネート成分(NCO成分)と、(B)ポリオール成分と、の反応生成物を含有する。
2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物は、(A)NCO成分と、(B)ポリオール成分と、の反応生成物を含有する。ポリオール成分は、ポリエステル-アミドポリカーボネートポリオールを含有する。
ポリオール成分は、ポリエステル-アミドポリカーボネートポリオールを含有する。

R3は、-(CH2)2-、-(CH2)4-、-(CH2)6-、-(CH2)2-O-(CH2)2-、-CH2-C(CH3)-、

R4は、O、NH、NCH3、NCH2CH3から選択され、
R5は、O、NH、NCH3、NCH2CH3から選択され、ただし、R4およびR5は両方ともOではない。
ポリオール成分は、PE-A PCに加えて、リン酸末端ポリオールを含み得る。
(i)PE-A PCおよび(ii)任意選択のPT-POに加えて、ポリオール成分は、(iv)任意選択の添加剤を含有し得る。
2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物は、(A)NCO成分と、(B)PE-A PCおよび(ii)任意選択のPT-POを含有するポリオール成分と、の反応生成物を含有する。
(A)脂肪族イソシアネートプレポリマーを含むNCO成分と、
(B)ポリオール成分であって、
(i)ポリオール成分の総重量に基づいて、65重量%~100重量%、65重量%~99.5重量もしくは85重量%~95重量%のPE-A PCであって、(a)500g/mol~8000g/molもしくは1000g/mol~2000g/molのMn、および/または(b)500g/mol~5000g/molもしくは2000g/mol~3500g/molのMw、および/または(c)1.5~2.5もしくは1.6~1.2のMw/Mn、および/または(d)0.01mg KOH/g~2.0mg KOH/gもしくは0.01mg KOH/g~1.6mg KOH/gの酸価、および/または(e)100mg KOH/g~200mg KOH/gもしくは100mg KOH/g~150mg KOH/gのOH価、および/または(f)-90℃~-50℃もしくは-80℃~-55℃のTg、および/または(g)25℃で500mPa・s~5000mPa・sもしくは900mPa・s~3000mPa・sの粘度、および/または(h)40℃で300mPa・s~4000mPa・sもしくは350mPa・s~2000mPa・sの粘度、および/または(i)500g/mol未満のMwを有する種が0重量%~10重量%、および/または(j)PE-A PCの総重量に基づいて、1000g/mol未満のMwを有する種が0重量%~30重量%の、および/または(k)構造(A)を有し、および/または(l)(1)AA、PDO、NPG、HDO、BDO-PCおよびEDAの反応生成物、(2)AA、PDO、NPG、HDO、BDO-PCおよびDMEDAの反応生成物、(3)AA、イソフタル酸、PDO、NPG、HDO、BDO-PCおよびEDAの反応生成物、(4)AA、イソフタル酸、PDO、NPG、HDO、BDO-PCおよびDMEDAの反応生成物、(5)AA、PDO、NPG、HDO、BDO-PCおよびエタノールアミン、ならびに(6)それらの組み合わせ、から選択される特性のうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを有する、PE-A PCと、
(ii)任意選択の、ポリオール成分の総重量に基づいて、0.5重量%~35重量%もしくは5重量%~15重量%のPT-POであって、(a)200mg KOH/g~350mg KOH/gもしくは250mg KOH/g~300mg KOH/gのOH価、および/または(b)5mg KOH/g~50mg KOH/gもしくは20mg KOH/g~30mg KOH/gの酸価、および/または(c)25℃で、1000mPa・s~2000mPa・sもしくは1700mPa・s~1800mPa・sの粘度、および/または(d)500g/mol~8000g/molもしくは750g/mol~1000g/molのMn、および/または(e)1000g/mol~8000g/molもしくは1400g/mol~1500g/molのMw、および/または(f)1.5~2.5もしくは1.8~2.0のMw/Mn、および/または(g)500g/mol未満のMwを有する種が0重量%~30重量%、および/または(h)PT-POの総重量に基づいて、1000g/mol未満のMwを有する種が0重量%~45重量%、かつ/または(i)構造(C)を有し、かつ/または(j)ポリエーテルポリオールとPPAとの反応生成物である、という特性のうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを有するPT-POと、を含有するか、本質的にそれらからなるか、またはそれらからなるポリオール成分と、
(C)任意選択の添加剤と、を含有するか、本質的にそれらからなるか、またはそれらからなり、
2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物は、100:100~100:200または100:133~100:189の、イソシアネート:ポリオールの乾燥重量ベースの重量比を有する。
本開示は、ラミネートを提供する。ラミネートは、第1の基材と第2の基材を含み、第1の基材と第2の基材との間に接着剤層を含む。接着剤層は、2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物から形成される。

第1の基材/接着剤層/第2の基材 構造(J)。
本開示はまた、2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物を形成する方法を提供する。一実施形態では、本方法は、(A)(i)PE-A PCおよび(ii)任意選択のPT-POを含有するポリオール成分を提供することと、(B)NCO成分を提供することと、(C)ポリオール成分とNCO成分とを反応させて、2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物を形成することと、を含む。
ポリ(1,4-ブタンジオール-カーボネート)(BDO-PC)の調製30gal.20インチの内径を有する316Lステンレス鋼容器に、内部バッフル、可変速度12インチタービンインペラー、散布リング、独立したホットアンドコールドループを有する混合DOWTHERM(商標)システムを備えた閉ループシステム、および24インチの充填カラムを装備する。反応器に、67958.0グラム(g)のBDOを加え、N2で掃引しながら150℃に加熱して反応器を不活性化し、BDOに存在する水を除去する。TYZOR(商標)TPT触媒(21.6g)を加え、反応器から事前にパージした600.0gのBDOで線をフラッシュする。流量計および制御バルブを使用して6~8時間かけて重量ポットからジメチルカーボネート(DMC)(102864.0g)を加え、同時にカラム内の温度を65℃に維持する。DMCの添加が完了したら、温度を195℃に上げ、反応の進行は、末端基分析用のOH価と1H-NMRによって追跡される。195℃で8時間後、OH価は、30.7であり、1H-NMRによって25%のカーボネート末端基を有することがわかった。温度を150℃に下げ、4.1ポンド(lbs)のBDOを反応に加える。温度を195℃まで上げ、8時間後、OH価は、54mg KOH/gで、1%未満のカーボネート末端基を有することがわかった。OH価が54mg KOH/g、数平均分子量(Mn)が1960g/molのポリ(1,4-ブタンジオール-カーボネート)(BDO-PC)を調製する。
1Lの複数口丸底フラスコをオーブンで乾燥させ、乾燥窒素を30分間フラッシュし、149.96グラムのVORANOL(商標)CP 450(ポリエーテルポリオール)を充満させ、70mL/分のN2掃引下に置く。シリンジに3.395gの115%ポリリン酸(PPA)を入れる。PPAを強く攪拌しながらVORANOL(商標)CP 450に滴下する。最小限の温度上昇が観察される。反応器の内容物を100℃で1時間加熱した後、45℃に冷却する。冷却後、21.65gのISONATE(商標)125M(MDIブレンド)を反応器にゆっくりと加える。氷浴を用いて著しい発熱を制御し、反応ポットを75℃未満に維持する。黄色から琥珀色への発色が観察される。次に、反応器を65℃で1時間維持し、その時点で内容物を冷却して包装する。調製されたリン酸末端ポリオール(PT-PO)には、過剰な、または遊離のMDIは含有していない。PT-POは、100重量%の固形分、270mg KOH/gのOH価、24.0mg KOH/gの酸価、25℃で17,820mPa・sの粘度、780g/molのMn、1415g/molのMw、2325g/molのMzおよび1.82のMw/Mnを有する。PT-POは、Mwが500g/mol未満の26.0重量%の種、およびMwが1000g/mol未満の41.3重量%の種を含有する。
上記のように調製されるPE-A PC1~10、およびポリエステル11を、PT-POと混合し、サンプルポリオール成分を形成する。各サンプルポリオール成分の組成および特性を表3に示す。表では、「CS」は比較サンプルを指す。
2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物の調製の際、(A)MOR-FREE(商標)C-33(脂肪族イソシアネートプレポリマー)を、(B)実施例ポリオール成分(Ex PC)1~4または8~13、コントロールサンプルポリオール成分(CS PC)5~7、MOR-FREE L82-105またはMOR-FREE 1390Aのうちの1つと、均一な混合物が得られるまで、室温(23℃)のケトル内で混合することにより、2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物を形成する。各実施例および比較例の接着剤組成物の成分を表4および5に示す。
厚さ1.5ミルの単層フィルムであるスリップ剤を含有する低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)フィルムが提供される(Berry Plastics Corp.から入手可能なGF-19)。

表4に示すように、CS10~11は各々、(A)NCO成分(MOR-FREE C-33)と、(B)PE-A PCを欠くポリオール成分(MOR-FREE L82-105およびCS PC5)と、から形成された接着剤層を含む。構造(VI)および(VI)を有し(すなわちPETフィルムを含み)、25℃および50%の相対湿度(RH)で硬化させたCS10およびCS11のラミネート構造は、各々ボイルインバッグ試験で3.5N/2.54cm未満の結合強度を示す。したがって、CS10およびCS11は各々、ボイルインバッグ試験後の接着強度が不十分である。
Claims (12)
- (A)イソシアネート成分と、
(B)ポリエステル-アミドポリカーボネートポリオールを含むポリオール成分と、の反応生成物を含む、2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。 - 前記ポリオール成分が、さらにリン酸末端ポリオールを含む、請求項1に記載の2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記ポリエステル-アミドポリカーボネートポリオールが、500g/mol~8,000g/molの数平均分子量(Mn)を有する、請求項1または2に記載の2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記ポリエステル-アミドポリカーボネートポリオールが、500g/mol未満の重量平均分子量(Mw)を有する種を55重量%未満含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記ポリオール成分が、ポリオール成分の総重量に基づいて、0.5重量%~35重量%のリン酸末端ポリオールを含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記イソシアネート成分が、脂肪族イソシアネートプレポリマーである、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物。
- 前記リン酸末端ポリオールが、構造(C)を有し、
- ラミネートであって、
第1の基材と、
第2の基材と、
前記第1の基材と前記第2の基材との間の接着剤層であって、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物から形成された接着剤層と、を含むラミネート。 - 前記第1の基材が金属箔フィルムであり、前記第2の基材がポリプロピレンフィルムであり、前記ラミネートが、0.50N/2.54cm~5.0N/2.54cmの化学的エージング後の結合強度を有する、請求項8に記載のラミネート。
- 前記第1の基材が金属箔フィルムであり、前記ラミネートが、3.5N/2.54cm~10.0N/2.54cmのボイルインバッグ試験後の結合強度を有する、請求項8に記載のラミネート。
- 2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物を形成する方法であって、
(A)ポリエステル-アミドポリカーボネートポリオールを含むポリオール成分を提供すること;
(B)イソシアネート成分を提供することと、
(C)前記ポリオール成分と前記イソシアネート成分とを反応させて、2成分無溶剤接着剤組成物を形成することと、を含む方法。 - (i)ポリエステル-アミドポリカーボネートポリオールと、
(ii)リン酸末端ポリオールと、を含むポリオール成分を提供することを含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
