前記第1の金属膜上に配置された、第2の厚さを有する第1の誘電体膜と、
前記第1の誘電体膜上に配置された、第3の厚さを有する第2の金属膜と、
前記第2の金属膜上に配置された、第4の厚さを有する第2の誘電体膜と、
を含み、
前記第1の厚さ、前記第2の厚さ、前記第3の厚さ、および前記第4の厚さが、65nmの半値全幅を有する630nmの第1のピーク波長、65nmの半値全幅を有する533nmの第2のピーク波長、または65nmの半値全幅を有する434nmの第3のピーク波長に対応する前記第1の波長範囲の前記第1のフィルタリングされた光を透過するように制御され、
前記膜積層体が、前記第1の波長範囲内の前記第1のフィルタリングされた光を透過し、前記第1の波長範囲内にない光を、70%を超える効率で反射する、半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、銀(Ag)を含み、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、酸化チタン(TiO2)を含む、請求項1に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記第1の厚さおよび前記第3の厚さが、15nm~30nmであり、
前記第2の厚さが、35nm~90nmであり、
前記第4の厚さが、30nm~100nmである、請求項1に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、Agからなり、
前記第1の厚さおよび前記第3の厚さが、25nmであり、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、TiO2からなり、
前記第2の厚さが、75nmであり、前記第4の厚さが、70nmであり、
前記第1の波長範囲が、592nm~652nmであり、
前記第1のフィルタリングされた光が、赤色に対応する、請求項1に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、Agからなり、
前記第1の厚さおよび前記第3の厚さが、25nmであり、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、TiO2からなり、
前記第2の厚さが、60nmであり、前記第4の厚さが、52nmであり、
前記第1の波長範囲が、505nm~561nmであり、
前記第1のフィルタリングされた光が、緑色に対応する、請求項1に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、Agからなり、
前記第1の厚さおよび前記第3の厚さが、25nmであり、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、TiO2からなり、
前記第2の厚さが、35nmであり、前記第4の厚さが、36nmであり、
前記第1の波長範囲が、448nm~502nmであり、
前記第1のフィルタリングされた光が、青色に対応する、請求項1に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 複数の膜積層体を含む半透過型フィルタであって、
前記複数の膜積層体は、交差偏光が前記半透過型フィルタに向けられるときに、第1の波長範囲内の第1のフィルタリングされた光を透過し、かつ前記第1の波長範囲内にない光を反射し、共偏光が前記半透過型フィルタに向けられるときに、第2の波長範囲内の第2のフィルタリングされた光を透過し、各膜積層体は、前記共偏光が前記半透過型フィルタに向けられるときに、前記第2の波長範囲内の前記第2のフィルタリングされた光の透過を可能にする幅およびピッチを有し、各膜積層体が、
基板上に配置された、第1の厚さを有する第1の金属膜と、
前記第1の金属膜上に配置された、第2の厚さを有する第1の誘電体膜と、
前記第1の誘電体膜上に配置された、第3の厚さを有する第2の金属膜と、
前記第2の金属膜上に配置された、第4の厚さを有する第2の誘電体膜と、
を含み、
前記膜積層体が、前記第1の波長範囲内の前記第1のフィルタリングされた光を透過し、前記第1の波長範囲内にない光を、70%を超える効率で反射する、半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、銀(Ag)を含み、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、酸化チタン(TiO2)を含む、請求項7に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記幅が、50nmであり、前記ピッチが、100nmであり、
前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、Agからなり、
前記第1の厚さおよび前記第3の厚さが、40nmであり、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、TiO2からなり、
前記第2の厚さが、90nmであり、前記第4の厚さが、85nmであり、
前記第1の波長範囲が、105nmの半値全幅を有する644nmのピーク波長に対応し、
前記第1のフィルタリングされた光が、赤色に対応し、
前記第2の波長範囲が、400nm~577nmであり、
前記第2のフィルタリングされた光が、シアン色に対応する、請求項7に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記幅が、60nmであり、前記ピッチが、120nmであり、
前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、Agからなり、
前記第1の厚さおよび前記第3の厚さが、25nmであり、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、TiO2からなり、
前記第2の厚さが、65nmであり、前記第4の厚さが、90nmであり、
前記第1の波長範囲が、105nmの半値全幅を有する555nmのピーク波長に対応し、
前記第1のフィルタリングされた光が、緑色に対応し、
前記第2の波長範囲が、555nm~682nmであり、
前記第2のフィルタリングされた光が、イエロー色に対応する、請求項7に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 前記幅が、70nmであり、前記ピッチが、140nmであり、
前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、Agからなり、
前記第1の厚さおよび前記第3の厚さが、25nmであり、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、TiO2からなり、
前記第2の厚さが、40nmであり、前記第4の厚さが、95nmであり、
前記第1の波長範囲が、105nmの半値全幅を有する460nmのピーク波長に対応し、
前記第1のフィルタリングされた光が、青色に対応し、
前記第2の波長範囲が、400nm~495nmおよび615nm~700nmであり、
前記第2のフィルタリングされた光が、マゼンタ色に対応する、請求項7に記載の半透過型フィルタ。 - 白色光ガイドと、
前記白色光ガイドから光を受け取り、前記白色光ガイドに結合されている半透過型フィルタであって、前記半透過型フィルタが複数の膜積層体を含み、前記複数の膜積層体は、交差偏光が前記半透過型フィルタに向けられるときに、第1の波長範囲内の第1のフィルタリングされた光を透過し、かつ前記第1の波長範囲内にない光を反射し、共偏光が前記半透過型フィルタに向けられるときに、第2の波長範囲内の第2のフィルタリングされた光を透過し、各膜積層体は、前記共偏光が前記半透過型フィルタに向けられるときに、前記第2の波長範囲内の前記第2のフィルタリングされた光の透過を可能にする幅およびピッチを有し、各膜積層体が、
基板上に配置された、第1の厚さを有する第1の金属膜と、
前記第1の金属膜上に配置された、第2の厚さを有する第1の誘電体膜と、
前記第1の誘電体膜上に配置された、第3の厚さを有する第2の金属膜と、
前記第2の金属膜上に配置された、第4の厚さを有する第2の誘電体膜と、
を含む、半透過型フィルタと、
前記半透過型フィルタに結合された薄膜トランジスタ液晶ディスプレイと、
前記薄膜トランジスタ液晶ディスプレイに結合された偏光子と、
を含み、
前記膜積層体が、前記第1の波長範囲内の前記第1のフィルタリングされた光を透過し、前記第1の波長範囲内にない光を、70%を超える効率で反射する、デバイス。 - 前記第1の金属膜および前記第2の金属膜が、銀(Ag)を含み、
前記第1の誘電体膜および前記第2の誘電体膜が、酸化チタン(TiO2)を含む、請求項12に記載のデバイス。
