Description
(1)ケイ酸塩と水の混合工程(以下、単に工程(1)という場合がある)
(2)工程(1)により得られるケイ酸塩と水の混合物への有機酸配合および撹拌工程(以下、単に工程(2)という場合がある)
上述のとおり、シリカ含有物を摂取した際に胃などの消化器官への影響を抑えるために、シリカ含有物摂取時のpHを4~6程度とすることが望ましい。そのため、初期検討として、ケイ酸塩に対するクエン酸の配合比率を変更した際のpHの変化を確認し、摂取時の想定濃度とした際の目的pHが4~6程度となるケイ酸塩およびクエン酸の量の比率を検討した。
乳鉢中で、ケイ酸塩としてオルトケイ酸ナトリウム10gおよび水10mL(10g)を室温下にて撹拌混合した後、さらにクエン酸18gを加えて撹拌した。撹拌は混合物の発熱が終了するまで続け、最終的に透明な粘稠液体または白色のスラッジを得た。
水は添加せず、ケイ酸塩としてメタケイ酸ナトリウム・9水和物10gを選択し、クエン酸の添加量を8gとし、それ以外の操作は実施例1と同様に行った結果、透明な粘稠液体を得た。
水は添加せず、ケイ酸塩として水ガラス10gを選択し、クエン酸の添加量を6.5gとし、それ以外の操作は実施例1と同様に行った結果、透明な粘稠液体を得た。
水は添加せず、ケイ酸塩としてケイ酸カリウム50%水溶液10mL(15g)を選択し、クエン酸の添加量を8gとし、それ以外の操作は実施例1と同様に行った結果、透明な粘稠液体を得た。
水は添加せず、ケイ酸塩としてケイ酸カリウム50%水溶液10mL(15g)とオルトケイ酸ナトリウム3gを混合した物と、クエン酸14gを混合し、それ以外の操作は実施例1と同様に行った結果、透明な粘稠液体を得た。
ケイ酸塩としてオルトケイ酸ナトリウム8gおよびケイ酸カルシウム2gを選択し、水10mLを混合した物と、クエン酸18gを混合し、それ以外の操作は実施例1と同様に行った結果、白色のスラッジを得た。
ケイ酸塩としてケイ酸カルシウム10gを選択し、水20mLと混合した物に、クエン酸の添加量を14gとし、それ以外の操作は実施例1と同様に行った結果、透白色のセメント状に固化した。
次に、製造したシリカ含有物の摂取想定濃度でのpHとして、実施例1から7において製造した各種シリカ含有物1gを水100mLに加え撹拌した水溶液のpHを表2に示す。なお、上記溶液を静置しておくと実施例1~5では沈降シリカの沈殿を、実施例6、7では沈降シリカとクエン酸カルシウムの沈殿を、それぞれ生じた。
食品または飲料として摂取したシリカはほとんど体内に吸収されず、わずかに吸収されたものはオルトケイ酸として存在し、その大部分は尿中に排出される。吸収されやすさは分子量に依存し、ポリマー状の物は吸収されず、低分子量の物は吸収されやすい。排出されずに体内に留まった分については体のどの部位に影響を与えているか明確には解っていないが、肺疾患、慢性病、特に子供の成長遅延などの種々の疾病はケイ素の欠乏症と関連しているとの説もある。健康な人の尿中へ排泄されるケイ素の量は15~40mgSi/日(シリカ換算32~85mgSiO2/日)であると言われている。
Claims (6)
- 非晶質シリカを含むシリカ含有物の製造方法であって、
クエン酸、リンゴ酸、乳酸、およびアスコルビン酸から選ばれる少なくとも1種の有機酸と、ケイ酸塩とを、反応温度において、前記有機酸と前記ケイ酸塩のそれぞれが溶解するのに必要な水の量の和以下の水の存在下で中和反応させ、非晶質シリカを含むシリカ含有物を生成させることを特徴とするシリカ含有物の製造方法。 - 前記中和反応は、前記ケイ酸塩と前記有機酸のいずれか一方が溶解するのに必要な水の量以下の水の存在下で行われることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシリカ含有物の製造方法。
- 前記有機酸の量は、前記ケイ酸塩を中和するのに要する量よりも多い量であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載のシリカ含有物の製造方法。
- 前記水には、反応前の前記ケイ酸塩または前記有機酸が水和物の場合に、その水和水が含まれることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3までのいずれか1項記載のシリカ含有物の製造方法。
- 前記水は、反応前の前記ケイ酸塩または前記有機酸に含まれる水和水のみからなることを特徴とする請求項4記載のシリカ含有物の製造方法。
- 前記中和反応後の生成物を、錠剤、カプセル剤、ソフトカプセル剤、粉末状、または顆粒状に加工する工程を有することを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5までのいずれか1項記載のシリカ含有物の製造方法。
